He had been a major sportfucker who boasted that he'd "bedded thousands of women - er, people -- in his lifetime;" she'd been working brothels in NYC for many years.  They met in the brothel when both were in their early 40s and married shortly thereafter.  This was around 1987.  He continued to run the family business; she retired from her biz.  My then-hooker girlfriend and I socialized with them.  They seemed to be happy and made frequent references to the extremely hot sex they had; they ran the gamut from lots of plain vanilla to either of them dominating the other.  As far as I know, there was no sex with other people, tho he hit on my girlfriend more than I liked.

They were a couple of years into the marriage when I knew them.  If you had met them at a cocktail party, you'd probably come away thinking they were an attractive, if somewhat stuffy, couple.

Go figure.
