Here I am driving down the road like a mad-woman... I have now been on the road for like 13 hours straight Denver to Phoenix... (near plane crash in Denver, but that is a whole different story)  

I am emotionally drained and somewhat deranged, okay probably severly DERANGED at this point in time and then... RING- RING

I answer... "Hello?"

He responds "hey how you doing?"

I am only okay at this point and I am still trying to give it my all, "Still Smiling!!! How can I help you?"

His reponse "Don't you know who this is?" ...

I have the radio on, I am driving, and I am on a cell...
"Not a clue honey..." and the above explanations. "... Who is this?"

His response "you mean you don't know?"

at this point I must publicly apologize to this person whoever he may be... becuase I say "You know what? Call me back from an unblocked number" and I hang up... not to mention I really was not very polite.

So here is the point why is it that so many ... and I really mean many as in several everyday... men will not just tell you who it is?

I live a somewhat frazzeled and hectic life... I am not by any means saying that I don't remember you if I cannot recognize your voice on the blasted celly!!

And by the way I am sorry but if you have a common name like Joe, John, Bill, Tony, etc  think how many people in the world have your same first name. I mean even LE gives all the JOHNs a last name even if it is DOE... LOL Give a girl a hint, like a last name or an I saw you at my house 2 weeks ago or even for you regulars a quick personal tid-bit like you if you collect cars say Joe the car guy...

A Proper phone intro should go something like this in my mind-

"Hello AA, this is John Doe, from Kansas... I saw you about a month or so ago... in Phoenix... we laughed about the food we burned on the BBQ..."

And why are you calling from a restriced or Private number if you have already seen a provider?

Didn't she screen you and get all your info the first time?

And if you are a regular if you call from an unblocked number she probably has your number either memorized and knows who it is or the name will pop up if programed in her phone so why put her through the hassel?

Please even if you don't type out a response... if this applies to you MODIFY YOUR BEHAVIOUR... as of today I find such conversations mute... null and void... meaningless wastes of time... and I for one will not put up with it anymore... I will... I will... ummm... got it I will start charging for physic services... $2.99 a minute... LOL

I don't do the phone thing. Matter of fact, I loathe being on the phone period! But, I listen to the voice mails and am amazed at the number of calls that will say "This is Dave. Call me". Ok..Dave who? There are at least 30 I can think of..Ok, which number, that you DIDN'T leave me anyway?

Actually had one message and he never even gave me a name! So, when I returned it, I decided to let him know that I wasn't sure if I had the right person since I received a message with no name! You'd think he would've chuckled, laughed at himself or even responded but he went right over that and onto the schedule! Nope. Don't do the phone thing.

I try to make my outgoing message clear about leaving a number, and the last time I can reach them at that number but have had to spell out that they should leave an alternate (email, voice mail, cell, etc.) in case I don't get to it until past that time, but I don't really think people *LISTEN* to the messages, they just leave their own.

If they say "Call me up until 3pm", and I don't get the message until 3:30, then I will not EVER return the call because that day is past now and I can't afford to ASSUME that 'up to 3pm' is good TOMORROW. I just have to hope they have figured that out..

and have no plans on booking an appointment. I don't have the patience for the game players, so I let them go to my answering machine. I feel if they are serious, they will leave a message.
I can't believe how many grown men are into playing games with us ladies.

I actually prefer e-mail too... but you know I hate listening for the phone to quit ringing sometimes... not to mention I honestly didn't even look at it I just answered... LOL  the point is really more about phone contact... and proper etiquette when it is used... say after someone e-mails you and calls you... or for regulars who call just to see if you can squeeze them in somewhere in the next 24hours... LOL I too can think of about 20 or 30 of each of the Daves, Bills, Johns, Jims, or Pauls... LOL

They seem to think, sweet as it is, that they are the only male voice you ever hear!  Or, that they're the only 'Mike' you know.  Do email only.  Much more peaceful.

can't hear, they feel vibrations from the cell phone waves going into their head but can't remember their names or who they called.  I apoligize for us all, without hesitation, with a rational head (because do to a series of events too complicated to describe here, I'm not horny right now.)

I don't have that problem...I go too far the other way:
 "Hi, this is jockeypants, I saw you on February 14th at 2:02pm.  You wore a black, one piece unitard and had on chanel 5, after our meeting you were going to "The Passion of the Christ" with a friend and those lost stockings you were looking for are under the bed."

like at least a little conversation, whether by phone or e-mail, just to get a feel for who I am about to do business with. My prospective clients are now different with me-they may know my reputation, or read the marketing brochures, but they want to meet me face to face, talk a bit, get to know who they are about to sign a deal with. Those of you ladies who don't believe in spending just a little bit of time with me are missing out on a truly good client. Just to let you know that there is another side to this story.

Yea, I don't do. I don't like playing games. Too childish. Just get down to business over the phone is what I say.

this guy emailed me ( the IP is not from a PD )  , asked what i provide, and what I would do to him ....

I emailed him back: " i can't and will never tell you what you will get, since you pay for my time ONLY. Please contact other ladies who will tell you exactly what you get for your money. Goodbye ".

and the next day, i got this " you bi*ch, your business will soon end, your bi*chy attitude will never get you anything. C*nt"

which knows no orientation.)

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way.  Thanks, Y'all said it!
