This is especially for the providers on the line (although anyone's comments are welcome):

I have noticed that many providers either post their reviews or, at least, refer to the reviewing site (TER, TBD, etc.)on their own websites.  As a hobbyist, I can appreciate a provider's wanting to use a review as an "advertisement" on her site. It seems to me, however, that any LE scanning a provider's website could make a pretty solid case with the explicit reviews so blatantly presented.  Any thoughts?

The following quote is part of the disclaimer we electronically sign every time we log onto TER.  I guess that by declaring all of the writings acts of fiction, they are in some sense protecting themselves and the providers.  I guess maybe the hobbyists also.  This would be a good question for the "Legal" forum.

Let's face it.  Every time a provider advertises at all LE knows what's going on.  They ain't THAT dumb.  And if they wanted to really commit the time and resources they could probably nail anyone they targeted.  Fortunately, this rarely happens.

For one thing, most city governments need a thriving escort business.  I see two reasons for this
1) So they can launch a "cleanup" campaign if they need an "issue", like at election time, SuperBowl time, etc., etc.
2) For the R&R for the city officials themselves.

I have a different problem with reviews posted by the providers themselves.  I plain don't trust them.  I'm sure there are top quality providers who do put reviews on their own websites, but I'd much prefer a link to a reputable independent source such as TER.  No chance of a conflict of interest.
