Reviews disappear?

I was thinking of seeing a certain provider here in NYC who had many reviews posted of her.  Yesterday, I went to check her reviews and they were gone.  What happened?  Does TER remove reviews at the request of the provider? Who can I ask about these reviews?  And should I take this as a sign that perhaps I should keep away from this provider for LE or safety reasons?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

profile.  She is taking down her ad and will request Staff to remove or deactivate her reviews in the next week or so.  She will only see her regulars in the forseeable future.  A few months ago, there was another popular lady who didn’t like one of her reviews so she asked Staff to pull her profile.  (I think that was the unofficial word from backchannels.)

There is also a well reviewed lady in Boston who in her haste to counter a couple of bad reviews by reviewers that wanted to settle a score with her, asked her BF to post a review on her.  She got caught by Staff and was subsequently delisted.

I believe you can still read a particular review of a deactivated/delisted lady if you used her reviewer’s TER handle to locate that review.

It is best to post an ISO on the New York board.  Members there will have more info about this.  Some of them will post a response on the board or backchannel info to you via TER PM.

Good luck.

Suggestions:

1. When you use the search form, set "Exclude Bad Websites" = "No", so you get the reviews even if the link is bad.

2. Raise the question on your regional board.

Note:

As I understand it, TER will remove reviews if a provider requests it.  But they will remove ALL reviews, not just ones she doesn't like.

If a provider challeges a review "as not being true" then TER will delete the review.

Not always.. only If she can prove it has issues (reviewer says they did it in the Jaccuzzi and she does not have one) etc.

A well-known DC provider, one who was and still is a valued conributor to the DC and the National TER Boards, had her entire record removed anbout 2 months ago with no reason given to her or to anyone, including me, who made inquiries on her behalf.  I'm stll waiting to find out why this ocurred.  To my knowledge she did nothing wrong, and was (and still is) a valuable and respected member of the TER community.

I do not usually participate in the Discussion Board, but this thread was of particular interest to me.  I decided to have my profile removed in August.  This was a decision that I,MYSELF made after giving it a lot of thought.  The graphic details and "creative writing" was finally getting to me.....affecting me personally, so....enough was enough.  I e mailed staff and ASKED that my profile be removed.  I also felt that 7 pages of reviews was sufficient.....what more could be said?  I would like to thank all the wonderful guys thay have e mailed me through ter and my personal e mail supporting my decision. I now find myself to be a much happier person overall and I think this is also reflected in my service.
