i wonder what percentage of guys actually write reviews of ladies???

1 in 10
1 in 20
1 in 25

then theres the question of a bad review, write one or pass.

any thoughts from the peanut gallery!!!!

Most ladies like to get reviews even it is a conformation of what all the others have said.

When I check references, I also like to check the provider's reviews that I am getting a reference from as I'm sure a lot of girls do. Also, I like to see how many reviews the client has...it helps me to know ahead of time what his likes and dislikes are among other things. Besides, isn't this site called the erotic REVIEW? Isn't that the whole point?

there are many, MANY reasons why a provider may not want any reviews, stemming from a desire for privacy to a general disgust with the entire review concept, and everything in between and beyond. i find the idea of rating and reviewing women like hotels and restaurants quite revolting, and i am also turned off by men with many reviews as all that tells me is he is a "professional" hobbyist who is not looking for anything or anyone special, just a hot flavor of the month. because i seek to have long-term, highly intimate and personal relationships with my clients, i do not tend to attract the type of men who are even aware of review boards, much less actually write reviews. if a regular client ever wrote a review of me anyplace, i would be very hurt and feel quite betrayed, no matter how "positive" his words.

i am here for the interesting discussion, not to attract clients who wouldn't be compatible with me in the first place.

unless a lady specifically requests that she doesn't want them. A few have asked me not to write one, and I've respected their wishes.

You can figure that a lady gets reviews at approximately 12% - 15% of the dates she goes on. I know that sounds low perhaps but again, I did a lot of investigation into this.

So don't be alarmed, but take a gal that 30 pages of reviews at 10 per page = 300 reviews. That represents 12-15%, yikes, yeah that's a lot. But then again, not many have 30 pages of reviews.

This runs fairly true for newbie providers. Often it can take a lot of dates to build up a review base. The same runs true for an agency, but if they are not new they build on years of good work and the girls come and go.

2 cents worth.

Depending on the type of clientelle a lady attracts, your number could be, and is off by a mile. There are ladies who are reviewed by virtually everyone that sees them, and there are ladies that have been in the business for years without a single review.

To claim that you have the numbers down to a few percentage points is bullshit IMO.

To even claim that there is such a thing as a "typical provider" is miles from the truth. The women that get reviewed on this site are as varied as people in general. You can't pigeonhole providers anymore than you can pigeonhole hobbyists.

To be honest I think your estimation of 12-15% review factor is actually quite high. Do you really believe that the "Typical" provider that has a dozen reviews, only has been with 100 clients. I think you need to go back to the drawing board, I think your math is seriously fucked up.

Who are active on TER, and in major cities. Give or take a couple of percentage points, I would agree with his numbers.

At the same time, providers who are not active participants or advertisers on TER may have a much different percentage.

your comments. Those are your words not mine.

I also said it was my 2 cents.

You can take it or leave it.

These are your actual words

"You can figure that a lady gets reviews at approximately 12% - 15% of the dates she goes on. I know that sounds low perhaps but again, I did a lot of investigation into this."

Personally I think your numbers are actually quite high, not low, and I'd like to know what type of research you did to come up with these numbers. Quite frankly, I don't believe your numbers.

over numbers.

I would suggest what ever I came up with now or in the future you would also call bull shit on, which is your total right to do. Enough for now pal.

I would think you have some numbers of your own before you call BS.

I’m going to agree with you and disagree with you.

Agree:  there are lots of different kinds of providers and the numbers vary tremendously.  There are some who steadfastly insist on no reviews.  Forget the ones who are afraid of reviews because of poor performance, some of the top end providers value their privacy and don’t need the pub.  Look up Jessie Yum Yum in DC.  For years the most detailed review would say something like “I saw Jessie and had a great time.”  If you don’t count that as a review (and many don’t) she had none.  Another provider in CO similarly has a great following but no reviews I know of.

Other women actively seek reviews, encourage reviews, and give discounts on the next visit for a review.  Worked with a couple of them and that approach produced numbers a bit higher than Smarty’s estimate, probably about 20%.

Factors that seem to matter.

A provider who is very active on a board will get a higher % of reviews on that board but it won’t automatically be true on any other board.

A provider just starting out will get more reviews per client (if the guys know about boards like this) because the guy feels he is contributing more useful info.  How much can you really add for a provider with 1800 reviews including 20 in the last week?

Full time providers tend to rely upon reviews more than part timers so they often push harder to get a review and therefore get more of them.

But let’s not forget the large number of CL, BP, and SWs who don’t know about TER like places and their customers who also don’t.  For them the review % is probably right near 0%.  How do you review someone with no phone, no web page, no e-mail?  You don’t.

I do have pretty reliable #s for a small sample of women covering a span of about 8 years.  They ranged from a review rate under 5% to a couple with about 20%.  All told Smarty’s numbers matched my small sample.  But my sample was quite homogeneous mostly 20-something college students doing it part time.

The guy has a hypothesis. He has used some rationale that appeals to himself. Maybe he has looked into it by talking to some people in the business. There is nothing more to it than that.

But there is nothing wrong with having an opinion or an idea about something and thinking you have facts behind you. It's human nature.

It can be irritating when someone puts on an aire of authority and claims they have special insight. I think that happens all the time on this board. I bet I'm guilty too.

I have reviewed most of the ladies I have had the pleasure to meet with only a few exceptions. Before I discovered TER I had a few CL experiences that by the time I discovered TER it was months ago so I did not review those ladies.

I had two bad experiences that I did not review for fear of the nuclear option from the lady, who had all of my personal info and both were not mentally stable at the time. One was a drug adict, the other was out on bail for drug charges. Yes I have no balls but I was trying to ptotect my family interests.

I have over a hundred visits and only 35 written reviews, w/3 repeat reviews.  I have seen numerous ladies that are not part of this site, and thus, no review.  Also been requested not to write reviews for various reasons.

I have no idea how accurate the numbers about the percentage of reviews are, nor do I care.  Why should I?  I only care that the ladies I see have some reviews from some good reviewers.

I will admit, I have not written a couple of reviews because I liked the provider and wanted not to hurt her business.  I'm sure this has happened to others as well.  So flame me if you want for not reporting substandard providers, but how many of you reading this have done the same?????

Swim

I can understand wanting to protect one's family. And I can understand not wanting to hurt someone's business too. But has anyone ever not written a review because you wanted to keep her for yourself? I've heard this alot and wonder if it is true or maybe they were trying to "protect my business"??

As for the numbers thing, I went for two years straight without a single review, so who knows?

If asked not to write a review - of what I would call a good session - I will abide by her wishes.

I mostly don't write reviews of repeats unless there is something substantive to update.

While an interesting and admirable thought....don't kid yourself into thinking reviews matter.

Just in the replies you've seen guys pull numbers out of their ass for no other reason than they just can't stand to be out of a discussion....and guys say they don't review bad performance cause they don't want to "hurt" somebody.

Just understand that reviews, while in the site name, are by far the smallest aspect of what goes on here...and not valued that much by just about everyone at this point.

We've had some of our most prolific posters actually brag about how they don't write reviews. There's always a reason to not write one according to the ones we hear from the most. And heck...you can even be a mod of a review site now with no reviews.....LOL.

So I wouldn't worry about the percentage. We get the occasional review...but it's mostly ads and attention whores (no pun intended) on message boards.

For me:  I review all except -- those who prefer not to be reviewed and those providers with whom I have repeat visits.  Pardon, I do not have a ratio to share.

and I would write a review if I saw a lady who provided me with either much better or much worse service than is typified by her existing reviews.

If I am asked to write a review, the lady says she could use one, or she is new or a visitor, I will write one.

I have over 500 "free" VIP days stored up so I really don't need to write them for every date.

If a lady already has a lot of recent reviews and mine would reflect nothing different, I don't write it.

I have been doing this 2 years and just have a few.The more good reviews I have the better. Some guys will not see a girl unless she has recent reviews. And I will not take a refrence from a girl that has fewer tan 4 reviews. It helps everyone stay safe and happy. Also you might need me to give you a refrence in the future for another gal.If you leave me a review I'll remember who you are better.Especially if you prefer me not to store you info because of saftey reasons.

It helps the community and my ego.lol.

I agree totally! I'm not new here but reviews are my bread and butter. Your on TER to read the reviews so why not  reciprocate and help the ladies and the men here too?

It's big pain to write reviews and almost every single time it's some TER admin dude rejecting my review for some BS reason. Either they wait 5 days to look at the link and the link is gone. Or the 'physical interaction part' with the provider is not detailed enough. WTF? I write several paragraphs about her, and it's not specific enough. I really need to write about every position? The TER board makes me rewrite and resubmit essays as if I'm a freshman taking comp lit classes in college again. I'm about to give up on this if they keep rejecting my stuff...
