Providers do come to Hawaii (as you well know since you saw Katelyn, who is a visiting provider).
Some actually make Hawaii a regular stop. Others come once and never return.
Hawaii is expensive. The cost of living is expensive here, and travelling here is expensive. A lady has to get enough business to make it worth her while. The client market here is not as big as you think either. When you think of tourists as clients think about this. Las Vegas and Hawaii are both big tourist based areas but for escorts in LV, most of their clients are tourists with a few being residents, while in Hawaii it is the opposite. Even though there are many tourists here, the majority of an escorts clients will be residents and military. A friend from Las Vegas put it best: "Las Vegas is a tourist destination where a guy can go on a man trip with his buds, but I can't imagine a guy going to Hawaii and leaving the wife behind!"
Some providers like to be prebooked before they tour, and Hawaii is not a big prebooking state. I think the ladies that do the best are the ones who come here with the attitude of taking a Hawaii vacation, and also working. I think it is easy to break even or have a nice vacation and go home with a little extra cash, but if they come with the attitude that they are going to make bank here, they will probably be disappointed.

If you're looking for a constant influx on a daily or weekly basis, it's not going to happen and the market just won't sustain it, but if you keep your eyes open on the various ad boards and hobby boards you will see there are a variety of touring providers passing through.
Be happy you are in Honolulu. Pickings are a lot more slim on the outer islands!

I used to live there. Go to the tourist areas. There are PLENTY of options.
As for the rest, most mainlanders don't realize how conservative, religious, and family-oriented Hawaii really is
