Just wondering...how people feel about the length of reviews and threads. When will you stop reading because it is too long.
For me, I enjoy reading a long, well crafted review. I will look at the threads and unless they are really interesting not read them all as being too long.
About the same i guess. It depends on what the thread topic is. If it's something that hits close to home i'll dig thru it all. If not, i'll just click on it change the color on the screen so i don't have to actually look and see what it is the next time i'm on the board.
Reviews are hit and miss too. As of late i have become somewhat less than enamored with the style of review needed to get appoved so i stopped writing 'em and for the most part, reading 'em too.
I have been noticing a lot of reviews lately consisting of little more than 1 - 3 short sentences in the "juicy Details" section. Worse yet there were no real details given. I find this disturbing for early in my membership I had reviews rejected on grounds that there was not enough graphic detail of the encounter given. If VIP status is to be awarded for the reviews submitted then lets keep up the standards and make them applicable to all members.
I'm positive Freedom Rider means this, I just want to drive the point home. If you have absolutely no juicy details what-so-ever...nothing happened...zilch...you've got nothing to write about that is sexy at all... Well, you were probably hit by a car on the way to your date. (Even that is sexy to some folks so write about that if you can hold a pencil.)
I submitted a review that was from a month old appointment... it was rejected because it was "too old", yet I see some where the guy mentioned he saw the lady a year ago... go figure.
It used to be that you weren't allowed to review the same lady twice... now I see the same guy posting several reviews of the lady... And then there are several new reviews of ladies who don't have a website or it no longer exists.... what's up?
You can certainly review the same person more than once, but you only get credit (VIP days in the bank) for the first review and not for any subsequent ones.
FR, i agree with you about alot of the reviews i have read lately. They are very short and don't seem to tell you anything.
But what i was saying is that i stopped writing them bacause i really don't feel that i need to give out the gorey(sp?) details to give out the details.
In alot of cases i can write so that you will still find most of what you want to know without getting into the specifics of a certain act.
I dunno, maybe i'm just becoming to soft as of late. Seems there's ways to get around telling everyone the step by step of my evening without leaving them asking WTF happened after they read my review.
I read just about every word /I can see on this site as what is not useful is funny or at least entertaining. But then I have been known to read over 100 pages (book pages, not web pages)in an hour, so it's not that challenging.
I don't mind long reviews, as long as they aren't all prose. I also appreciate those who use paragraph breaks. If I see a huge block of text with no paragraph breaks, I just sigh and hit the back button on my mouse.
