I could not agree with you more. I do think that free membership with submitted and approved reviews undermines the system. I met with a gent that had submitted a review of someone and it was rejected because it was not juicy enough. He now has his brother write his reviews. Not very good. I also notice that on some reviews written about me, that a lot of truths were embelished....Made me wonder if I was really there, but then again.....in one scenario I know the writer wasn't there. Poetic license is the answer in a lot of scenarios. Although not all....but I guess with every system there are those that will undermine it for all and those that will be honorable to it.
Reviews should be unbiased and truthful....no lady or gent should suggest and or barter for a review in anyway shape or form....again, it undermines the reason for the system to begin with. That is why I refuse to discuss them with the gents that I meet with....General discussions and opinions such as this...yes, but never is a review about me ever discussed or bartered for. You will be shown the door or deleted from email if it is even suggested.
As for anyone making the choice of writing a review...I think it is entirely up to that individual. Each has a different level of need for discretion....they may find it a risk and therefore that decision should be respected. There are enough individuals out there to post reviews without the discretionary needs. Given the endeavor, what ever it takes to make an individual feel safe and secure should be respected. We may not agree with them or believe in it, but there are many individuals that are like minded in their views and so, everyone can be happy.
As for ladies, again, we are all different and choose to run our businesses differently...there are a wealth of ladies out there that are not part of any discussion boards, communities, those that do not even advertise and are very selective on the gents that they do meet with. Should they be slammed for that...no...it is the way they choose to run their business and the way they feel most comfortable and their wishes should be respected.
This forum is just a miniscule fraction of the endeavor as a whole and there are aspects of this endeavor that many of us just do not know about and ladies that we do not know about... For example I have heard of a group of gents from a city that have chosen a handful of ladies that they meet with. These ladies do not advertise, nor do the gents have anything to do with this forum or any other. They are very discrete and to become part of this group is by invite only and with a sponsor from the group...screening is murder and akin to gaining clearance to access to the WHite House...they prefer to keep it that way....it is how they feel safe. It is their choice, their freedom and that should be respected.
Just my 2 cents.

Being a new hobbyist with only one provider experience to review anyway, I chose not too. I think some reviews are just an amalgam of info from previously posted reviews slapped together under the guise of an actual encounter. Might some reviewers pick a provider with a wealth of similar reviews and provide their own review of a fictitious encounter with said provider? Possibly. I pay my monthly fee, but I feel that some may submit these mimic reviews in order to save a couple bucks a month. I've read different reviews of the same provider that include contradictory info. YMMV or poetic license?

If reviews are honest, they can be a great help to hobbyists seeking to contact a new provider. It tells him what to expect and can be very helpful in avoiding "problems". I have never posted a review of a lady who I have not actually seen. I suspect some of the hobbyists may post phony reviews and there is now doubt that some are "very creative" and are little more than their fantasy. I have complained to TER about erroneous review details of ladies I have seen and had been very successful in getting them corrected.
We all need to be deligent and contact TER if we see discrepencies in the reviews.
To the providers - If you see a review by a guy you did not see, let TER know and why not post a note in the general discussion section?
Come on guys, to make this system work, and to be fair to the women, you have to be honest.
Just curious how come you have been successful in getting TER staff to follow your recommendations on pulling reviews from TER? I ask this question b/c I have seen situations where TER staff have pulled a providers review for no good reason other than a website link has gone bad. In one case, I knew a provider who had a "phoney" written up and it was never withdrawn by TER staff. Strange how things work. I can understand why some hobbyists on this board are skeptical of the stuff that is at times posted on this board. just my 2-cents.
No special pull - I just send them the facts as I know them, pointing out the discrepancies and they have always been open to correcting them - a couple of times they have come back with questions, but seem thankful to get factual reviews.
JR9EM: What system would you suggest?
Caveat emptor, caveat ? (anyone know the Latin word for provider?). To each his(her)own. If someone wants to submit a review, go for it. If not, so be it. No need to complain about personal choices. Since you really can't be sure of a review's validity, what's the difference anyway!
I'm sure most reviewers (and those who submit to the discussion boards, feel comfortable and competent with the written word. I'm not perfect, but I suspect were it not for keyboards, some reviews would be written in crayon. Grotesque grammar and suspect spelling do not a welcome review compose. I trust in the "noblesse oblige" of the gifted communicators who convey their thoughts and opinions in an eloquent, understandable fashion - to speak for the rest of us who sit at our screens and say "yeah, that's what I think!" Yeah, that's what I think.
I always request my friends refrain from reviewing me. In my county a review is just a tool for bad folks to either black mail ladies or for law enforcement to try to get a lady to say she'll do a sexual favor for money. Unfortunate.

If I a lady I like asks me not to post a review, I would abide by her request. However, if I have a bad experience or find something negative that hasn't been mentioned before, I'd feel obligated to tell the community.
The only time a provider has asked me not to post (although I had never mentioned TER) was one who knew she'd disappointed, I believe. She also had a very explicit website, so LE didn't need a review to figure out what she was up to.
If a provider askes me not to post I won't either. But if a woman doesn't give me the experience that I know she is capable of, I will post a review. It's why I joined TER.
If a provider has at least five reviews, you can get an idea about what to expect during your time together. You shouldn't expect anything more or less.
See my review about Andrea (Maimi). It is a perfect example of what I mean. Without TER's reviews I would have taken one for the boys. Instead, I took two (pops) and an afternoon nap *smile*. Then I saw Luna that night. It's a fun hobby.
I agree that there is a way around the system. It is definitely difficult to monitor though. If you choose not to review that is your personal choice.
All reviews should be TOTALLY HONEST. What is a hobbyist to do a provider contacts him directly after a writing a review that was lower than expected? This happened to me last week with a lady I met in Montreal.
....she can either offer a repeat session with a slightly lower rate or learn from it. I own a business and sometimes have to go the extra mile for my customers. Granted, I don't have to screw them.
I can't believe she called you though.
I must admit it was a rather unsettling experience, having someone contact you after a lower than expected review. This is one of the reason many gentleman are reluctant to give out personal information for verification (many of us go to the sam places that we like).
I think the quality of the reviews has gone down over the past 6 months or so. Most are 1-2 lines with little detail. Stuff like, "I paid her. I came and think she might have too. Oh, and she was all right looking wise but I was sorta drunk."
It amazed me when the Mod sent me a message on one of mine that it lacked detail. It is hard to include much detail when not much happens...
