Good to hear from you; it's just not the same around here without you.
Really miss you, take care of yourself, and know that my thoughts are with you
As most of you know, I came down with the 'flu-like' virus that lasted two weeks, just as many of you did.. The very next day, I experienced a familiar pain but way beyond the normal and was sent to the ER. This was Friday, January 2nd. Their first mistake was sending me home, as I was right back four hours later, and admitted to the hospital that evening.
I won't bore you with all the details because we all have our 'hospital stories', but it was an interesting six days in the hospital. They wanted to do surgery on me yesterday, January 9th, but I was too weak, and they felt I would not withstand it well, so they sent me home, and I will rest and regain strength to have the surgery in two weeks, after which, I will recover for 6-8 more weeks.
I receive this forthcoming surgery as a 'mixed bag' of feelings. As far as my health goes, this is something long overdue, and I think the body is saying NOW! I haven't had my usual energy and gusto for months, and I am hoping that this will bring me back, once recovered. I have heard I will not regret it, and will be happy once it is all over.
On the other hand, I have worked very hard for many months with my other businesses, obtaining accounts and sponsoring different events, all of which now will either be cancelled, or shifted. I had to close my Online Store temporarily since I can't service my customers. If you're a 'type A' personality, you know how this must feel to close shop.
Alas, my family knows the workaholic I am and I am forced to ignore all these things and make myself rest, which goes completely against my nature. Those of us who are driven hard, also fall hard.
I am so deeply touched by the posts on the boards; your caring PM’s, calls and emails. I would love to single out certain individuals, but then I might miss someone, so thank you ALL for your concern – I appreciate it so much. I just have to resign myself that these next couple of months are going to be very different than I had planned, and let Faith prevail.
Please feel free to email, or PM me, but phone calls absolutely exhaust me, and as I am already directing business calls elsewhere in order to try to take care of my customer base, I would appreciate no phone calls.
I thank you all so much for your concern, and your prayers - you are so dear.
Love,
Sedona
Hi Sedona,
I wish you the very best!!!!!! I enjoy reading your posts. I will have a good thought for you. Take Care, my friend!!!!- Doug
I hope you are not too exhausted to post here time-to-time. After you have done what you need to do, take time to take care of yourself. A vacation, massages, a spa. Even type A personalities can benefit from a bit of Hedonism.
Cheers.
.....Your voice here has been missed very much. Yes, yes, even by those like myself that post to often.
And being a semi-reformed work-a-holic i can truely understand what you say. As corny as it sounds though, without the body and mind right, the rest doesn't matter. I know there must be a better way to put that then i just did for it doesn't exactly cover what i mean to say, but words aren't my strong point. Anyways, i think you know what i mean. So perhaps you'll have to force yourself to take the time that you need right now, but in the end, it will be worth it.
Best of luck ![]()

Nice to have you back and to hear that you are ok. I wish you the best with your up coming operation. May your surgery be a success and your recovery swift and full.
Sedona,
Many thanks for the update. Every day I looked for an update. We need to get you a good press secretary to keep us informed each day. It was frustrating not to know how you were doing. I enjoy your thoughts and discussions about life. I hope that you now realize that we consider you a very special person with many fans.
Words of advice. I am a type A person – doubt that it will ever change after 65 years. I had 2 minor operations last July and I found out that I cannot rush the recovery. Please take at least an extra day and do not push your luck. People still were amazed on how quickly I did recover – much earlier than most people even half my age. Everyone advised me to stay at home and rest for at least a week, but I started traveling within a couple of days. Next time I will spend a couple of more days at home.
I am sure that you will also do your research on the web regarding your operation and the risks. We did lots of research after my daughter’s operation last March. We would have taken different precautions before and after the operation. We know our own self better than anyone else.
Our prayers have been answered that you would be OK.
I am more of a lurker than a poster on this board. Sometimes I am a little to "thin skinned" for some of the hatred of BBWs or baby fat girls statements that are posted but I have always really enjoyed your posts and look forward to reading them. Please post when you feel well enough. I know the guys here will be waiting for your return. I know I am. Thank you for expressing some of the things I would like to say but lack the proper spelling to get the words down. You seem to be a beautiful girl inside and out. We wish you the best, Devin 38G Taylor of NYC
You have captured the love & respect of this board as few others have my friend. We all wish you "God Speed" to a quick and full recovery

Sometimes it's best to retreat and recover. Without good health life just isn't as much fun. We'll all be here as an online support group for you, dear.
Sedona,
Enjoy your time off, relax and please get better!!!
