Retirement is for quitters...

The good news is that if she says she's retiring soon, she'll eventually make good on it.  I've known a couple to leave, and a couple others leave when they found "true love" only to return when they lost it.

then she announced that she was retiring. She was gone for only a few months. She magically reappeared, but for less than a year. I managed to see her one more time, then she left again about a week after I saw her. I hope it was nothing I said. So far, she's still retired.

Several types of retirements.  Some ladies have a business plan and when they accumulate a certain amount of cash, they ride off into the sunset.  Younger college age ladies will often retire when they graduate from college and enter the business world.  The other category is the lady who moves for whatever reason.

Life is short, don't regret seeing the lady of your dreams before she is gone off into another arena.

Lots of ladies retire and come back a month, six months or years later. I wouldn't let a lady's promise of retirement influence my decision to see her or not. I think most retirements are sincere but quite simply a lady will come back because her need to pay the bills over rides her desire to stop sleeping with strangers for money.  I honestly don't think it is much more complicated than that.

As mentioned, she may be completing her degree and entering the work world, entering a new lucrative career altogether, she may have met the man of her dreams and intends to marry, she may have "found" God and is changing her life.

But plans can come crashing down, new careers can fail, and the desires and fulfillments associated with providing can be very powerful.  I'm not talking about the financial motives that someone pointed out, but for the social aspects...meeting amazing, fascinating gentlemen...traveling and experiencing exotic adventures with them...forming close friendships and memories together...

For a provider who truly ADORES these perks of the business, I imagine it would be difficult for her to stay away unless she could satisfy them in her world of retirement.  (That is, without devoting oodles of time and possibly money to upscale matchmaking services, only to be disappointed more often than not.  Or, so I've heard!  *winks*)

Escorts typically retire because they found a new man to love them exclusively and choose to stop providing.  Typically the new relationship does not work out and the woman comes back to escorting.

Other escorts retire because they found Jesus or went to drug or alcohol rehab and are seeking a more constructive life style that does not involve sex with men for money.  Some times this works and some times it does not.

IMO, over 50% of escorts who retire, come back.  Probably a higher percentage come back exclusively for their favorite Johns.  IMO, none of them forget the easy money they made via escorting and that is always in the back of their mind and a temptation to come back.

I know of women who are currently local medical doctors who made it through med school via escorting and having a sugar daddy or two.  These female doctors, ex ho's are most likely retired for life.  It is nice to stop in for an office visit and reminisc that she sucked cock for years to get to where she currently is.

As a hobbyist, ho's come and go.  Unless you are particularly attached to a favorite ho, do not take retirement too seriously.
