It was the opening song on their last album "Bedtime for Democracy", from 1987.
The DK's definitely were not uplifting...but Jello Biafra could make you think! About the closest they got to uplifting was "MTV, Get Off The Air!", from their seminal 1985 album "Frankenchrist"...which also contained the excellent songs "Soup is Good Food" (which is more relevant now than ever), "Hellnation" (same), "Jock O Rama" (the campaign song for Schwarzenegger?), "Goons of Hazzard" (which definitely applied to a few of the guys I knew when I was in MO, Jan), and "Stars and Stripes of Corruption" (which could be the theme song for our current political landscape).
Compare this cheery music, though, to the uplifting sounds of Morrissey singing "Meat is Murder"...hmmm, tough choice.
Then, of course, you have my favorites from the 80's, The Cure...however, the boys from "South Park" said "Disintegration" was the greatest album ever, so I guess that makes it so.
I don't remember them doing that song. The only Dead Kennedy's song I can think of off hand is "Holiday in Cambodia". Ah, such uplifting music! LOL I prefered "The Smiths" myself.

I was once told, by someone whose opinions I highly regard, that if you listened to a half hour of Wolfgang, you'll never go crazy. So I used to listen to a Mozart piece on my way to work every day. Not sure if it worked.
