Elkhorn's "My First Review" post below made me wonder how many reviewers have ever gotten thank-you's for nice reviews. I am not the most generous grader, so I wouldn't really expect any. I have gotten a couple of "you're a jerk" messages, one from someone I otherwise would have revisted.

If I gave a nice review and the reviewee just replied with a friendly follow-up, I think I'd be more likely to return and return sooner.

How many reviewers get thank-yous or even "Glad you enjoyed it" notes?

thought they looked like a 6, why would you see them in the first place? You're not gonna get a lot of "thank yous" by giving 6s for looks.  LMAO   You might need a Dale Carnegie Course. Ever hear of the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People"?

I have received only 2 or 3 thank yous.  I also recall one lady who contacted me (cold call) based on reading my reviews and invited me to try her out.  I thought that was even more usual.  And possibly a setup of some kind.  I since found out she might have been for real.

Follow up contact would be a net gain for providers.

Average walking down the street would of course be 5.0.  Photos you see may not be indicative - makeup alone is usually worth a point or even 2.

Hopefully, providers would be somewhat higher, but YMMV - there's something for everybody out there.
And of course the TER scale is fairly specific, too.

IMHO, it's about accuracy in reporting, not making friends and/or influencing people.   I think there's a built-in conflict in a provider knowing you review, and I think even telling her you're a member detracts from the moment.

I've gotten one - thanks, but did you really have to put all that in there....  

And I have exchanged fairly extensive e-mail and phone calls with a couple -

all in all - not bad....   and for the most part - i have really enjoyed meeting the ladies!

One of the first ladies I reviewed sent me a message thanking and I’ve received three others. Only in one case did a provider send me a message unhappy about the review.

Review writing isn't really my thing.  In a hobby that's intimately personal, it may be the most intimate of all things exchanged.  I've exchanged email and phone thanks several times with providers I've seen and it's always nice to feel you made a personal connection.  The note I received after my written review put a smile on my face, and yes, made me want to see her again even more!

I know of an instance where a provider contacted a reviewer, unhappy that he'd written something less than the unqualified rave reviews to which she was accustomed. He'd written nothing derogatory, just a straightforward account of all aspects of their session.

I think it is totally inappropriate for a provider to pressure, or even contact, a reviewer about what he writes. To do so, or for reviewers to write "to make friends and influence people," compromises the review process and takes away its value to us in making decisions and choices.

Friend of mine had a so-so session with a lady (that I recommended, and felt like crap about).  He wrote the review after a lot of thought & consternation.  She called, upset and apologetic.  She explained her side, and offered to make it right.  It's not about getting something for nothing, or changing a review.  She was having a bad day, it showed, he wrote it, and she wants to make it right.  To me, that's the process functioning the way it should.

In 10 reviews. I have gotten one thank you, and that was recently. I did however, appreciate it. If I am willing to take my time to write a nice review of a provider, it takes them even less time to send a thank you.

Twice, both recently, from Agencies.  Never from indies.  The delight for me was that the Agency not only thanked me for the review but also passed on that the provider found our time together "awesome."  That's good selling!

I have gotten those notes after the review.  Even before the review was posted, I sent a 'thank you' for a great time to a few of the ladies I have seen.  That has always generated a nice response back.

I've gotten two "Thank Yous" (1 each from my 2 ATFs) shortly after the reviews went up.  However, in each case they knew they were getting reviewed b/c they had asked me if I was a TER member.  I got great service, so I'm sure they were somewhat expecting the positive reviews.  Did it bother me that they asked?  Hell no.  Like I said, I got great service.  I didn't mind writing the reviews and I was fair.  The "Thank yous" were a continuation of their good service, and definitely was a factor in how quickly I returned to see them.  BTW, the return visit with each ATF was better than the initial visit.  If ladies want to know how to "build their business", then they should take note.

On the other hand, the stupid bitch that runs a pretty good agency (the girls are hot) emailed me a nasty note when I suggested she lacked efficiency, despite the fact the reviews of 2 of her girls that I'd written were positively flowing.  I'd also helped that agency's reputation (as they were not local) whenever, they sent a provider to my market.  When I informed her that my suggestion wasn't meant as a personal insult, but merely a suggestion on where she needed to improve her efficiency (I was very fair, b/c she had twice shown utter stupidity in dealing with me), she got more than defensive and tried to spar with me over the facts that led to my one suggestion.  When I realized that I was dealing with a hopelessly stupid bitch, I told her so and that while my posted reviews would bring her more business it would not bring in mine or any of my friends.  In the past year, this agency has since given up on visiting my market, b/c the demand for them went away.  So....ladies, if you value your business realize that great service is not just the way to build it, but often it's the only way to keep it.
