A wise sage of world population issues marked on the occasion of Earth's passage beyond the SIX BILLION mark:

"If ten and eleven year old girls were shown a few examples of severe stretch marks from early childbirth, the population problem on Earth would go into reverse within two generations."

I suppose he thought that young girls would be shocked by the disfigurement of severe stretch marks and become careful post-puberty about using birth control and other means to avoid pregnancy, birth, and the abdominal disfigurement.

I'm an old Schlong but still have seen fewer than ten cases of severe stretch marks. I suppose women with bad cases avoid the escort profession because most men do not find such marks sexually arousing. I must say that the few very bad instances I've seen were with women who were very nice people and I certainly tried not to react in any negative way.

What I wonder is whether modern cosmetic surgery can eliminate the marks and restore the taut flat tummy?

That is my question. I think it quite normal for guys to react in a negative way. We react toward beauty, and stretch marks are not within our cultural norms of beauty, quite the contrary.  They are the female equivalent of the male beer gut, which is quite repulsive to all.

I've never seen this subject discussed. It's taboo, like women who have dicks growing out of the tops of their heads.

Stretch marks are not caused only by childbirth. A severe and quick loss of weight can give a girl stretch marks as well.

I know it's not THE most attractive thing in the world, and so few ladies know how to get rid of them. I have the solution!

If the Real kind is used (100% - not mixed with anything else) the marks will be reduced in just a few weeks, and eliminated in a few months.

I hate seeing providers with stretch marks on their stomachs.
I hope some of these ladies in love with their not so perfect bodies will read that post!

The guy that made that statement concerning population growth must be a complete freaking idiot.  I suspect that the issue of stretch marks being a disfigurement is more of an issue in the more developed and affluent countries than in the poorer countries that have some of the highest birth rates.

I recently saw a provider visiting NYC who had such an operation.  She had a child and had, in her opinion I guess, gotten a bit flabby in her abdominal area, so she had what is commonly referred to as a "tummy-tuck".  The surgical scar was still visible after 8 weeks, but she said it was fading away slowly but surely.  The result of her surgery was an absolutely FLAT, TIGHT, GORGEOUS mid-section.

The one thing I don't know is how bad it was beforehand.  This young lady (she is all of 22 or so) said it was really bad, but judging from the rest of her (model material), I'm not so sure.  After all, everything is relative.

My wife loaded on the pure cocoa butter for her first pregnancy. Didn't work for her.

First, loosing weight does not cause stretch marks.  stretching MAY, not shrinking. The excess tissue may flop and sag, but the stretch marks are from a breakdown in the subcutaneous layer of the dermis.  Cocoa butter aint going to prevent this and it really aint going to make them go away.

Now surgery...EVERY time one cuts the skin one scars.  EVERY time.  What a good Plastic Surgeon can do is MINIMIZE scarring by nice cuts with very sharp scapels and proper placement to avoid pulling by considering underlining muscle pull and body movements.  The scar is still there but much less noticable.

It's a fibrin and fibrinogin thing.  We all heal this way.

I've been with lots of women who had stretch marks. So what? It's part of life. I'm also a lover of mature women and BBWs.

Sadly, stretch marks have to do with two things:

the elasticity of your skin (mostly genetic)

and

the amount of stretching your skin has to do in a short time

If you gain weight very rapidly the fibers in your skin break causing minute little tears that looks like scars - stretch marks. No amount of grease rubbed on it is going to fix that. They fade in time, especially if you stay out of the sun.

I have kids and don't have a single stretch mark and I gained 20-30 lbs each time by the end of pregnancy. Also nursed both kids, and believe me when the milk comes in those tits blow up a size or two overnight. No stretch marks and I didn't rub a single bit of lotion on my skin in preparation. I was just lucky enough to be blessed with a lot of elasticity in the skin.

Make stretch marks completely disappear... it can make them lighter, softer, and blend in better with your skin so that they are not as visible. From my own experience and what I've heard from others. After a recent surgery I asked my doctor what he recommended for scarring, and he said... whatever, basically. His take was that NO clinical studies had been done on the effectiveness of any of the skin creams like cocoa butter or mederma, so he has no idea which works best.

If the skin on the tummy is stretched way out tho, a tummy tuck can correct it... and that scar WILL fade... but you have to be ready to have no more kids before you do it!

retin -a has been used for some time on scar tissue and with prolonged use can help fade to nearly eliminate stretch marks...if they are very deep ones such as the ones some women get on their breasts when their milk comes in it may only help a little bit as it is nearly impossible to rebuild the collagen layers depply with in skin..I went from a DD to a FFF in less than five hours that is to the lay man a size of a large grapefruit to the size of volley ball. Women with darker pigmented skin tend to have more trouble getting rid of scars in general so I don't know how well retin-a would work. It has to be used regularly for several months to over a year to see results. I found that it worked well on ones I had gotten from growing when I was in my early teens and on the ones my boyfriend got from body building. As far as the ones from child birth go I think it may have helped but personally I wear them proudly as I had a big healthy baby and life leaves marks on those who live it well. I did use both cocoa butter and olive oil on my skin and my doctor said it would help reduce the severity as moisturized skin breaks down less severeley than skin that is dry. I didn't get any until the very end so I do think that it helped prevent them from being worse than they are.

I can certainly understand how one could find stretch marks distracting,but thats as far as it goes.I've been with ladies with stretch marks and personally pay no more attention to   them than I would to a mole or some similar imperfection.Far more important to me is a ladies attitude,skill and sensual ardour.At 43yo and with a decent build I'm still far from perfect.This being the case I tend not to expect my erotic friends to have attained physical Nirvana.Just my opinion.Nothing more.
