I have found it helpful when providers state up front in their web sites their preferences on, race, etc. As a black man I respect those choices. Often you don’t find out until after first contact and that can be a time waster for all involved. However a few providers should rethink those thought to be clever code words that do not always make it clear. A few use the words upscale, educated, high class to stable to infer that they only see men of European decent. I know this issue comes up from time to time are there any additional thoughts

lucky you.
The really high class providers only care about seeing high class hobbyists, the race or ethnicity of the hobbyists, to them, is a non-issue.  Focus on continuing to meet high class providers, you will get everything that you are looking for and will meet some great people during the process.

Sounds like your first experience was fab.  I agree that the more professional providers really don't give a rat's arse about the ethnicity of their client.

For me, the important things are, in no particular order, good manners, a sense of humour and great personal hygiene.  If you turn out to have a hot body and be devastatingly handsome then that's a huge plus.  It's what's between the ears that count, I don't just mean your tonge. ;)

Thank You for your posting. I agree most providers are good folks just trying to make there way in the world with has less drama has possible.

and New Guy, your thoughtfulness and obvious intelligence are a welcome addition to this board.  Your future providers are gonna love you.

I am a white man...actually I'm Italian.  I've had many women tell me that they thought I was black, because my handle sounds black I suppose.  When contacting a provider I usually describe myself briefly as I believe every women should know roughly what she's going to see upon meeting, and she should have the right to refuse our date if I'm not her cup of tea.  Hey, if I'm not going to do it for her, I don't want the date either.

If someone doesn't want to see you for whatever reason, at least you'll know with nothing more invested than an e-mail.  They likely just won't respond at all.  And, it's probably not too good an idea for a provider to state race preferences on her site anyway.

I respect your position on this very much, and you're clearly a bright and thoughtful guy.  Good luck in this hobby.  You've got some wonderful experiences ahead of you.

Thanks to all for your comments...I too give a discription of myself to providers with my first contact message...and by far most providers are open to finding a client who is not B.S.ing them and who is not a serial killer in training.

I agree that ethnic preference is a personal choice and does not have anything to do with racism. I am Asian (17% of hobbyist here at TER are Asians).  What I find interesting is that I have contacted a few providers who clearly stated in their website that "I provide services only to classy Caucasian gentlemen", but I still ask politely if they will see Asian guys like me. To my surprise, they said Yes they do. That's a revelation to me. I should have seen them a couple of months ago!

Thanks for you post, although I agree that ethnic preference is a personal choice and I believe racism is also a personal choice that some seek to exercise. I do not know the motivations of those providers who seek only to include or exclude certain ethnic groups from there clientele. Any conjecture I would offer would be just that however I strongly believe that they have the right to make that choice given the personal nature of there profession.
