research article: men don't have more sexual partners than women, i.e. women are fibbing

I've always heard that men have x number of women sexual partners and women have fewer number of male partners.  I always thought "how can this be"

This article explains it.  It seems that many men do have more sexual partners but that a small percentage of women have many more (that it puts men to shame!).  Some of those women are providers.  They guess 30-80 per 100,000 population (which is 300-800 in a city of 1 million).  They don't specify whether politicians are included in the number.

I would love to read it out of sheer curiosity but the link does not seem to be working.

However, being a woman, I personally think women in general get more "Nookie" than men simply because it is easier for a woman than a man.   It will be interesting to read the article. I can think of a number of college girlfriends in the past who were always on the prowl and had more Sexual relations (than the men) with the differnt guys they dated.  It seemed to be just as much a mission for them as it was for the guys, however I think girls tend to be pickier than men.  LOL

It was like popcorn at the movie; get it while its hot. The girls gave it up easy and often so I see your point. I am glad I believed in condoms.

We shouldn't insult our ladies by comparing them to politicians.  In my experience, providers are significantly more honest (and providing).
