Thanks for the info.... Being married having this knowledge has made my decision easier... For me it is not worth the risk. Be safe and have a Happy New Year. Thanks again
I understand that this lifestyle does have its risks. However, reading some of the discussions I have never read that anyone has caught any type of STD from a provider. Has this happened to any of you and what type of STD did you get? Have any of you providers caught an STD from a client.
Thanks for the help and info. Happy New Year to all

If you are sexually active, whether participating in the hobby, swinging with your partner, or just dating around, you will have risks. I would hope most of the providers here take their work seriously and get regular checkups...but then again, I think anyone who is sexually active should do the responsible thing and get tested regularly. Just because you don't have symptoms doesn't mean you don't have anything. Go ahead, make that appointment on Monday
As for myself, I just budget it into my expenses and get checked every 4-6 weeks, sooner if an accident happened (condom breaking). The only scare I had was when I got some itchies, but it came out as a common yeast infection. If you don't get tested because you are afraid of the results, yet keep participating in the hobby, shame on you. You are being selfish and could be spreading something, that could easily be rid of with antibiotics. Lots of places in the yellow pages provide discreet testing, and some will even accept insurance and charge you for some other kind of test. They have HIV home kits and I long for the day where they have at home tests for other STD's. They are about to come out with an at home pap smear test and if they could do that with the HIV tests, then they should be able to test for other STD's that require blood or pap smears.
I have thought for some time clients of quality providers have a less chance of contacting an STD than they would hitting the singles bars. Nothing in my experience. which is admittedly limited, has offered any evidence to the contrary. The women Ive met, like those who post here regularly, are very health conscience and just dont take chances. The same can hardly be said for single population at large, or some of the married segment for that matter. Nothing is 100% foolproof but if you do your research I think your experiences with a provider will be a much better situation than you can hope for considering the alternative of, as they say, "casual sex". Anyone, particularly providers have a thought? I'd love to hear it.
