I've used them once, I got  frustrated and stopped after 4 minutes.

If you're thinking of trying, make sure to get the larger sizes (10" x 10").  makes things easier.

Considering the high risk nature of the hobby, I'm always willing to do things make things safer.  I was looking for a way to make DATY safer and came across dental dams as a way to reduce the risk of STD transmission.  I've never used them before on my previous girlfriends but from what I've read it seems they are effective when you lay the latex over her pus.  I've attached a link of what I've read.

The thing is that I don't know how they feel.  Has anyone used them before?  What was your experience like?

the safest bet is bottled clit liquor that can be licked when a hardon hits you. Much cheaper too than a visit to a provider.

Remind me to put on hefty bag when you come over

a guy used a dental dam on me once, it was awful, i woulda preferred he just skipped it

I love DATY but just as i don't enjoy giving blow jobs with a condom , I don't enjoy recieving DATY with rubber

it may be safer, but really it's safest not to do it at all

There is nothing pleasant or sensual about dental dams.  DATY is a gift from God.  IMO, with appropriate precautions, including limiting yourself to pussy that looks and smells clean, the risks are low, certainly much lower than one would think from the random hysteria on the boards.

After thoroughly douching the vulva, anus and colon of my comely female partner with my bare tongue I wisely follow with a prophylactic shot of Bacardi 151 rum. The high alcohol content insures a sterilization of possible deleterious microbes and the euphoric after effect is an enjoyable bonus.

If you still want to pleasure her: 1) spend 25 bucks for a good vibrator and some good lube, or 2) Give her a $40 extra gift.

For the first, she'll enjoy that pleasure at least as much as your tongue.

Sheesh.  Have you looked at how unsafe food has become recently?  There are 900,000 cases of food poisoning a year; I don't know, but that may be more than with STD infections.  Three quarters of those are with unknown pathogens.  Many of them have lifetime consequences, the extreme nausea being a acute phase of a lifetime disease, with no cure.

PS-- Just make sure you carefully soak the vibrator in bleach between the sessions!!

I don't know, maybe I'm crazy, but I always believed that the quality providers keep their business equipment in good working order and free from infection.  Likewise, again an assumption, I hope that fellow hobbiests routinely have checks for bacterial or viral unpleasantries.

In any case, dams are for rivers.  Clit lickers use Listerine.

been a while since i've been on the boards, but here i am!

honestly, i find it so hard to believe peoples reactions to this guys question, but at the same time, i knew that would be the case.  i have never used dental dams with a client, precisely for that reason, but when i feel that i can no longer receive DATY without one, I feel like i might as well hang my hat.

i always use dental dams when sleeping with women.  my girlfriend and i use sheer glyde dental dams (strawberry flavor!) and they work so well.  they are much thinner than all the other ones i have tried and bigger too.  a little advice, take the dam out of the bag, put it on her tummy and spread lube on one side. then put the dam lube side down over her vulva. it helps it stay much better.  also keep the lights on and hold onto the dam with both hands to make sure it stays.  honestly, it works really well, and i feel comfortable knowing that we aren't giving each other anything.  with a little cooperation and good humor it's easy to stay safe.  don't skip DATY!!!

honestly, to assume that providers are disease free is really stupid.  of course we get tested and if we get an bacterial infection we take meds, but seeing how herpes can be spread orally and hpv can spread even with a condom, it's kind of hard to believe that most providers are STD free.
