This might actually be a question for the newby board. I spent a little time catching up on my reviews this afternoon.

Wrote four reviews - two approval, one still pending and one disapproved - "Provider Delisted".

Not one to complain too much ... but after spending the time to write a review it is a little disappointing to find out it can't be posted for this kind of reason.

1) Is there a list of "delisted" providers?
2) Is there a way to know why a provider is delisted?
3) If it is their choice, can they be reinstated?
4) Does TER delist providers for certain violations (ie - writing your own reviews or some such)? Reasonably sure the answer is yes to this one.

Reelisted Providers ...

Those who have had their funeral processions before you see them are highly likely to be delisted.  From one old fart to another!

They don't like what is said in reviews, want to stay off the radar, or other reasons. A few discover that having a TER profile and recent reviews, even lukewarm ones, is worth the inevitable negative and incorrect stuff that is included in reviews.

Not for public consumption....there is a partial list on the moderators board but it is no way complete.

No....

Yes...

4) Does TER delist providers for certain violations (ie - writing your own reviews or some such)? Reasonably sure the answer is yes to this one.

Thats how it usually happens...but it does happen by request...or for legal or privacy reasons...or harrassment reasons....

Just curious.  How do you know if a provider writes a review on herself?  Don't tell me IP address because she could be on a NAT'ed network where 255 or 65,000 users all have the same IP address and messages are routed by TCP or UDP port numbers.

I generally spend almost two hours writing a review, and then when it comes up unapproved, provider delisted I about have a stroke. That's a lot of time to spend for nothing.

Also, providers cannot be reinstated upon their request if the delisting was caused by a violation of the rules, unless of course they can prove their innocence.

I have found out by some of the ladies I've seen that TER is very strict with their rules, and if they are violated, there seldom is a second chance.

. . . but we are not allowed to mention their names on the boards so, in effect, having a list of delisted providers is to have them listed.

How the FUCK was I supposed to know she was delisted. She never told me, and I just didn't know. Another good case for having a list.

. . . it's catch-22. TER would be violating their own policy if they have a public list of delisted providers.

I wonder what would happen if I started a thread with the question "Is [name of a delisted provider] delisted?"

If TER had an option for review proposals, in which a hobbyist would send in a request to review a particular provider, then they could PM that person with a "yae" or "nae" and an abbreviated reason.

about a provider then you can clik on that persons list of TER reviews.  When you see the review of the provider that you are interested in reviewing, click on that review and then click on the 'See Provider's Profile' button.  If that particular profile is currently delisted you will get a message indicating that her profile is no longer available on TER.

Of course this is only useful if you recall the handle of someone who had posted a review of your provider before.

Does her profile come up when you click 'See Provider's Profile' after you click a review?

My understanding is that delisted providers will have their profiles inactivated so even though the reviews are present the profile is now invalid.
