Unfortunately, if an adult mall had a "Test & Approved" rating system, it could be considered pimping by LE. At my site, all we can do is verify the photos (and yes, we really do verify each advertisers photos). However, if we find out that there is a rip off on the site, her ad is removed immediately and she or the agency is banned for life. Sedagive.
I could really use some feedback from my TER friends... i'm doing some research...
My friends started an escort directory 2 months or so ago and they featured a good selection of "veteran/well known" escorts as well as "new/exclusive" escorts... all the new girls got flooded with calls and traffic but all of the veteran escorts that are at Eros and so on did not re-sign up because they didn't get any calls...
Questions for everyone:
Do you guys still call veteran providers for services?
Or should my friends directory focus there time on only new girls?
Questions for providers:
Do you ask your dates where they got your number from?
What do you look for in a directory?
I'd really appreciate everyones feedback. My friends seem really dedicated and want to bring new talent to the business as well as re-vive veterans of the industry... please help...any feedback would be appreciated!
If directed there from a TER link. I've learned (the hard way) that combing the directories looking for new hotties is a setup for a B&S or a marginal experience. In San Diego, the new hotties on directories have a reasonable risk of being LE.
Bottom line for me: stick with TER reviews and let them take me to the links, some of which may be directories. Good luck.
That's very good info. I still call some of my favortie ladies for a date but the scene is almost getting old. Seein the same faces up and down Cali. So we are targeting new girls in california, there alot that miss out on the safer i-net.... and actually with your feedback I think we'll come up with a verification program as we stumble upon new talent... so no LE or phonies are placed
thanks you very much for your reply
I'll start with "well known" directories, then move to the TER for reviews ... if no reviews i'll usually pass ....Many directories are filled with so many "hotties" I really question their value ... many times I question why a well known indie is in a certain directory to begin with. I have mentioned this before, It would be nice if someone would put together a Directory of just Las Vegas Indie's (for exemple) and no one else.... And your pic and indie status would have to be verified by your peers using the directory.... my .02
Speaking as an adult mall website owner, I don't think the problem has to do with established and/or new providers on your site. It takes time to develop your reputation in the adult community. If you use real photos and keep the rip offs away, you should do well. And spending lots of money on advertising doesn't hurt either! Sedagive.
then what's your explanation for samantha, obviously a b&s photo who recently got a ROB review here on TER?
Hi mr._lang. I can't find the Samantha you are referring to. We only have 2 Samantha's on our site and neither of them have any ROB reviews. And Liz, the general manager of SCVIP met both of them and verified their photos. Can you give me a link to the review you are talking about? I certainly want to look into this. I don't read every review of every advertiser on my site. I depend on people like you to bring any problems or rip offs to my attention so that I can take appropriate action. SCVIP has never allowed fake photos or rip offs and we never will. I'll wait for you to respond with the link so I can check this out. Thanks for your post. Sedagive.
I'm not mr lang. But doing a little search of your site on the LA section and taking the phone number and searching TER I came up with the following.
http://theeroticreview.com/reviews/show.asp?id=24519
I wouldn't classify any of her reviews as a ROB or B&S though, more of a she doesn't click with everyone type of woman. Only 1 of the reviewers mentions the pics are old but doesn't say they aren't of her
Crap Crap Crap! My head hurts from searching and reading reviews. Mr. Lang, can you please either post this Samantha’s link to her reviews or e-mail it to me at [email protected].
I would like to take care of this problem if there is one ASAP!
Linky Linky Linky, where the hell is my Linky when I need him?
Xoxo, Lizzie
I looked through the search and couldn't find the review, either, but I distinctly remember a ROB-ish review about the samantha linked below, and you have to admit that the picture looks mucho suspect. If I'm wrong, my apologies. I'll do more research, but I wouldn't have bothered posting if I didn't specifically remember a negative review about the offending provider. Again, if I'm wrong and you can vouch for this girl, then I will be humbled and owe you and sedagive a huge apology.
Geez!
I work for SouthCoastVIP.com Please the next time you accuse someone of being a ROB get your facts straight.
Don’t make me bring out the Whitchie Poo or open a can of whip ass on you.....lol
xoxo,
Lizzie
i also posted a reply to you on the l.a. board. you're right, i'm wrong. my bad. my most profuse apologies to you and sedagive. got your site confused with socal finest. imbecilic on my part.
best,
mr. lang
This has NOTHING to do with SouthcoastVip, which is a great site.

A service that actually checks more than the photo would be good. I have been to MPs where it's hit-and-miss - you don't know if they do or don't. Others you know that even a new girl, this is her first day, does. Somebody has checked her out (and probably briefed her).
Back in the 80s I met a woman I still see at a non-Asian MP. I later asked her how they checked her out, if the guy who ran the place asked her to demonstrate her stuff before she was hired. No, she said, but her first customer was a friend of his who approved or disapproved of new girls. If they didn't, the receptionist never gave her any business (unless it was someone they wanted to get rid of or might be LE).
A directory that checked out new listings and gave them some sort of "Test & Approved" rating would be really useful.

Very interesting Sedagive and helpful...
My friends and I are leaning towards new escorts i think, its more then making money, we believe in escorts and the business and we actually have fun with it.
Appreciate your feed
Such a directory is being put together in Phoenix. The girls will be verified by reviewers who pay for services like everyone else. They will also be checked for drugs, STD's and LE.
I have written TER as to why we are not allowed to review new girls that are not on web sites. I would guess about 80% of the new girls are not on the web and their prices are usually under $200. No answer from TER. I think new blood in the mix is always good.

I think internet advertising sites in Phoenix are relatively inexpensive--places like Eros or Exotics charge between $65-100 per month.
Another site (similar to SouthcoastVIP in LA) is called www.Phoenix411.net where all the girls are verified and known to be legitimate--and the monthly cost is dirt cheap.
So, if an escort didn't want to put up a website for whatever reason, she could nevertheless have inexpensive internet advertising and thereby be eligible to be reviewed on TER.
We all know a picture is worth 1000 words--I'd think any provider, especially the new ones starting out, would want to have their picture out there to get business.
I agree with you that new blood is always good--go tell them to advertise on the internet and join the rest of us!
I suspect what you mean is no increase in calls. That's not terribly surprising for the "veteran" talent who've been advertising for a long time on the established directories. The increased advertising expense is not bringing them enough additional business to pay for itself.
yeah, thats what we figured, but half of our girls did very very well so i dunno...
thanks for replying
First, I think the first thing your friends should do is hire competent legal counsel in this area and make certain that their business model could not be construed as either pimping or pandering.
I cannot speak for other hobbyists but when I see a new mall\directory come onto the scene I am highly suspicious of those that have many girls not listed on other sites and the handfull of veterans whose ads and art are probably\usually pirated from their websites or other malls\directories to give the appearance of legitimacy. Those new directories\malls are more often than not just fronts for agencies (legitimate or not) Let's face it, a well designed website plus hosting is many $100's or even $1000's less than the costs of placing ads on several malls where one could eventually have said ads removed if one were not legit.
That's just my 2 cents. Best of Luck.
