That I like. I wonder just how many times would Bush get the chair for talking with his mouth full.
Tonight, as I stopped to get gas for the ole milage machine... I was there... and along come another car.... with his stereo cranked up to about a bazillion decibels.... and then another guys car alarm goes off.... and then the attendant turns up the elevator music that plays throughout the filling station....
Why must we have a CONSTANT sound track....! most of which, I do not choose... and do not like. Why? What I notice is a lack of civility. The playing of the "lost" parady on a night when some lost loved ones in a plane crash... that was played over and over on the same network.... I am not for censorship, just common civility. How many even know what that word means?
Here in TER I read so so many posts about providers or hobbiests who are no-shows... without even a phone call, or guys (and some gals) who show up less than, shall we say "fresh"! I mean, what gives? civility?
where did it go.....???? or am I a relic...? doomed to live as the last of the dinosaurs?
Rant over.... and out.
I happen to agree with much of your "rant".
1. Gas station music - you can go elsewhere. I did, after letting the attendant know of my displeasure in his (not the bozo in the jacked up truck) crancking up the music which elicited a "blow you off" retort. The head honcho of the chain that owns that station took a more customer-minded approach in response to my letter (by snail mail).
2. A girl not so "fresh" - Right off the bat, I offer a shower. All kind of pleasant situations develop from there.
Will you let me join your club of dinosaurs? - And we should get some females.
rock and roll and funny haircuts should stay off my lawn!
I'm so goddamned sick & tired of these reptilian brained SUV pilots who insist on riding four inches off my bumper in parking fields & structures having a complete mental dysfunction when I slow & possibly need to maneuver backward to negotiate accessing the parking space I almost missed.
These type A, "Mr Wheeler" personality pin-heads are too developmentally arrested to realize or care that the guy in front needs some room to maneuver and maybe it was their tailgating mentality that got them into the situation of having to actually back up their 8000lb wheeled penis. More often than not these motoring morons sit and honk as if you are the problem and you should acquiesce to their bully mentality.
A hundred rounds of 7.62mm cutting them and their rolling bully pulpit in half would prove very cathartic for me.

view mirror.... with the intensity of a thousand suns, designed only to ablate my retinas.... and I do not drive a small car.... but the SUV mentality is they need the "Big Ride"! and I even understand the desire... but you are correct - the SUV drivers (& pick-em-up truck) drivers are very often the most egregious violators of leaving a safe distance between moving vehicles....
Thanks for a great response.... got my day started with a smile! lol!

BRAKE CHECK.
I usually tap the brakes as a courteous way of telling them they're too close. I'll do that twice. If that doesn't give 'em the message, I have absolutely no problem with stabbing the brakes hard.
Now, if something bad really does happen, does the brain-dead twit piloting that Chevy Subdivision really think he's gonna get stopped faster than I will in my little two-seater? Cuz I sure as hell don't!
step on the gas, slowpoke!
STUFFIT WITH IPOD!!! Can you possibly imagine how much noise has been abated due to ipod? we should be down on our KNEEEEEEZ to them!!!lol.lol.
The problem with these thumpers in their penises lies in those inside thinking they are doing everyone else a favor by SHARING their "music" and being "impotent".
Harrrumph. I can do that too.
I have my bose speakers and two sunday mornings ago on the way to meet my dad, when I found myself in "surround sound" by the grace of my favorite neighbors on sunset blvd open highway, I retaliated. I opened my sunroof and blasted back freaking Wagner from my radio. And Ricky Martin from my cd ...and then back to the radio with Wagner again...hheheheh. Good thing I hadn't been drinking. I would have been stopped. Good thing I wasn't thinking I would have been shot.
Bulletin. Busty blonde with small yorkie in the car ... cellphones bleeping 911. Mars to venus...

I didn't even play my music loud in my room as a kid. However, my brother rocked on and I heard my parents yelling, "Turn that da_n music down," while he rocked out to "Want A Whole Lot Of Love." I guess we all have our tolerances and annoyances from generation to generation. Now I try to look at those people and rock out with them so they think they're not bothering me, although I'd like to get some speakers to put on top of my car roof blasting a speech by Bush. Wouldn't that be annoying? ![]()

I'm sick and tired of these twerps and their noise blasters. Seriously, who needs to be broadcasting that s**t throughout a sleeping neighborhood at 3 in the morning? If they're really that starved for attention, we can always break out some medieval stocks and egg these morons for a few weeks at a shot.
Another thing that pisses me off is cell phones. These morons cruise around, day and night, the driver on his or her phone, each passenger on theirs. WHY? If you're out with someone, shouldn't you be out with THEM and not whoever's on the effin' PHONE? And why the hell do they have to drag cells into movie theaters? Everyone there's paid to watch the movie, not listen to who's gonna hook up where and when and whatever!
God, I'm looking forward to the day cell-phone jammers become economical. I know what'll be joining me at each and every movie I go to.
Okey dokey... That's the way I felt when I got on the internet. when was the internet going to be something that didn't demand me to do a spreadsheet(shot)? I never did it, except sort of at a distance when I had a member site, but I was so relieved when the net started do legit stuff,...but geez, we all know the internet is for porn...
and so with these idiots, cars are for "livin loud"...heheh
Now I shall get back to the current freak on kfi...I think at this hour it must be...nah, rush is in the morning...it's georgytime...
btw, ever check out "inner child"? I spent some time diggin that one up...I'm glad...can you believe rod serling was such a genius, btw...where'd he get those ideas? He prolly did dumb stuff like locking himself out of his car all the time, lol.
xoxo

"Inner Child"? Can't say I know that one. Was that a Twilight Zone episode, or maybe Night Gallery? And, yeah, Rod Serling was a genius; he was one of the definitive storytellers of our day. Wish he could've given up the coffin nails.
I had another incident with a cell phone today. I was sitting in the waiting room of a lab at the local clinic; noticed a guy behind me chatting on his cell. Guy about my age - mid-40s - clean cut, sharply but casually dressed - just gabbing away, completely ignoring the sign on the wall asking that cell phones be shut off for the safety of patients, friends and visitors of the clinic. After a couple minutes of gabbing, I figured he wasn't going to put the thing away any time soon, so I took the sign down and held it in front of him. He acknowledged it, but still didn't stop.
A couple minutes later, he leaned over my chair and asked, "Was I disturbing you, sir?"
"Cell phones are supposed to be shut off in a clinical environment," I told him. "The transmissions interfere with diagnostic equipment."
I could almost hear him chuckling behind me, like I was the naive idiot. Morons seem to come in all shapes, sizes, and budgets. Why is it that they refuse to think, to believe that a clinic or hospital would have those signs up for a reason?
What if we introduced compulsory military service for all young people - say 24 months at age 18 or 19.
A 30 mile hike with full pack, full load of ammo, personal and crew weapon - partyl through some swamp - pouring rain turning to snow. And when you finally get to some shelter, you have to clean all the s*** stuff you got dirty BEFORE anything else.
Would probably induce a bit of humility and respect.
I believe it was Robert A. Heinlein who said that bad manners should be a capital offense.
That I like. I wonder just how many times would Bush get the chair for talking with his mouth full.
where the ignorant country western songs condoning war compete with ignorant Christian songs decreeing hell to all non Christians. grammar is awful and racism is rampant. It's everywhere I go.
The men (non clientele) wear mullets, are missing teeth, and are bud alcoholics who beat their girlfriends. Their persuade their children to have role models who never finished the eighth grade (dale earnhart), and feed their infants big bowls of white sawmill gravy and mountain dew for dinner.
If I ever had a one of the locals for a client, I would reem him!!!
I've been very lucky and have had only the most wonderfully amazing clients.
I'm pissy today. I was mugged the other day, so I'm very disappointed in humanity.
What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like that?
Surely (not Shirley!) there must be some good down there.
By the way, the same kind of rednecks live around our neighborhoods, the difference is that up here we have enough money to build a fence around them, so you don't notice them as much unless you go into Wall-Mart.
done did move down'ere for that there fried okri, catfiesh, and taters. some good cookin down here in these parts. I tell ya what, if you go down that road where that tall-drink-of-water-Bobby's rusted ole camero sits out front, take a left by the waterin' hole, and follow the road until you see smokin' tobacco comin out of that there barn, you can buy you some MOONSHINE! ewww weee now that's what i'm a talkin bout.

Ciara
got all dem boys hootin and hollerin for more of your good hot biscuits and sweet pies.
On a serious note, it seems that one out of every three or so houses and automobiles sport a rebel flag. Yet these people are so called "proud to be an American." Do they not realize that the civil war was a time in history that America was torn?

I just had my annual check up with the prostate exam, so I reckon I can stand it.
They have schools? ![]()
Sorry to hear about the mugging (geez, that sounds weird, like a bad Hallmark card) but I'm also glad you're able to be pissy today and vent. Hope you didn't lose anything irreplacable.

wear white headdresses and burn crosses in their yards. People swear they are not racist, but Lynch Road runs right into Slaughter road....I'm a little confused
