...also, do a search for "Cache" and find where your browser stores all the little graphics that it grabs to construct each web page. It could also be called Temporary Internet Files.
Clean that out regularly.
Also, if you're on a Windows box, check your Recent Documents tab in the Start button menu. Each of those is a shortcut right back to the file, if it still exists where you downloaded it to.
Right click on any of those, click Delete in the dropdown and followup with a "Y" for yes. You can do a blanket clearance of this menu, but an empty Recent Documents dropdown tends to raise suspicion by itself.
I have just joined this awesome hobby and I regularly visit this site and browse the reviews... here is the problem, every provider looked at and all the sites I look through all show up in my address bar (Im using internet explorer 6.0). how do I stop explorer from calling up all the Private stuff Im looking for as soon as someone(SO) types in a letter or two in the address bar.
Temporary Internet Files: Delete the files (you can safely delete the cookies as well) History: Days to keep pages in history- set to zero History: Clear History Apply
Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop... left click on the "properties" choice..... then left click the "Clear History" button. Voila! No more fillins.
Also, click on teh advanced tab at the top and scroll down to the security heading.... Click on the box for "Empty Temporary Internet Files" Folder. This will clear all of those jpegs and other damning evidence when you close the browser (plus it will keep your computer from getting clogged with data driftwood).
Also look for a power utility called TweakUI. It's an unsupported power tools utility made by Microsoft. Once loaded open it and go to the "Paranoia" tab, click on everything to have your run history, your address bar history, and several other items cleared on exit. It won't save you from LE if they seize your hard drive, but it will be enough to keep you out of your SO's doghouse when she finds that you have been surfing at "Helga's House of Pain"....
Also, don't forget to clear out Google's address bar history as well (click on the empty text box, and then hold down the delete key to get rid of all your search words....... ("So jerko, you wanna explain to me how your search for "submissive sluts" went?)
Also go to Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete and turn this off. Although URLs will no longer automatically fill in, it is safer if you have a privacy problem.

Go to webroot.com and buy window washer or use him for 1 month free . He cleans automatically all that stuf . Also, you can get free at lavasoft.se free ad-aware that also cleans spywares which tracks what you doing on net . Every day when you are on net , at least 50 people try to hack your comp or find your private informations , I see that in my mcaffe firewall log in real time . It cost you about $100 year to protect computer , privacy etc . Btw , despite all that , all internet in world is logged by cia ,nsi and likewise organizations , that is main reason internet is invented in first place . It was slow and boring and impossible to open and read all snail mail , and illegal , you can notice if someone has tempered with letters , but to prove on net that someone 'watching' is hard case ror most regular folks . People who think they are safe from wife or girlfriend on net if they dont know your password are WRONG . It vary from internet provider to provider , something like if you have account with hsn.com , your wife can order using your account , they dont care as long she call from same home phone number they have in database . Sometimes they 'verify ' by stupid question like 'mothers maiden name' which all your relatives knows as well your dob . In small cities half town knows someone maiden name . If you are in hobby and have cs.com for net provider , which is aol company , and you keep old mails and providers adress book ,in filing cabinets thinking your wife cant see if she dont know password , YOU ARE BUSTED . When you start comp , before even connecting to cs.com , just click RIGHT MOUSE on cs icon located on right side and presto ....everything pop on screen, no password needed . You can try also for orher net providers to make shure everything is ok . BTW I noticed that TER skipping my posts which are smarter than 85 % , maybe cause I'm not vip
Although most everyone has already told you how to delete your IE history files and AutoComplete, you may want to think about actually having two accounts on the machine. One for you and one for your SO. That way if you forget to clear out your browser history one time, she won't be able to logon using the same account you do.
