I recall once upon a time when I tried to book an appointment with a number of providers the day before Turkey Day and everyone was totally booked...which led me to wonder - is the holiday season more busy or less busy than other times?  And if so, why?

My guess?  It's busier -- guys have, or expect to have, more disposable cash, and are in the mood to give themselves presents....

Being from this side of the pond where we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I can't comment on that specifically.  

But holidays are always quieter in my experience.  Guys are expected to be with their families during times like Christmas and Easter and when the kids are off school they tend to have less free time for hobbying.  Unfortunately.

How is business around "Guy Fawkes Day"?
I am thinking any holiday named for someone who tryed to blow up Parliment is bound to bring out some guys looking for fun!
