Well, I work with several providers, and I can say that some of them are very interested in their reviews, and some truly don't concern themselves with it. It's the same for some actors...you hear them in interviews saying they don't read their own reviews because they are far more interested in their actual craft, not the commentary of others.  And while one's reviews in this industry can make or break a reputation (and of course impact your business), it is probably a healthy thing to be confident in the knowledge that you are providing the best service you can, and not depend on good reviews to stroke your ego, or let bad reviews break your confidence.  Also, some people only do this part time, for fun and/or extra income, and are more involved in their "day job".

Now here's another thought...was this the first time you were seeing this particular woman?  It could be that if you mentioned the reviews at the beginning of your date, she might have been "feeling you out" so to speak.  It wouldn't be unheard of for LE to say something like "I read in your reviews that this is the kind of service you provide, so is that what I can expect from our date?"  See what I' saying?

How many of you find that many providers are unaware that they have reviews?  I recently met a highly, and well reviewed provider how was completely unaware that reviews were done on her.  What do you do in such situations?
    The session was excellent.

I find it perhaps disingenuous, if she advertises on the web, for her to not know about the review sites. That would be truly amazing.

I have been with providers that don't know they have reviews and probably don't care. I have also been with a provider who knows there are reviews (I found her through a post on the local board here). But she never reads them. She doesn't want to be upset by anything she reads and she doesn't want to feel like she needs to present her side since there is no good way for her to respond to a review she thinks is dishonest.
Do providers usually read their reviews? If so, what do they do when they totally disagree with a review?

We had finished, she wanted to hang around (it was my room) and we started talking about a lot of subjects.

with a provider that I KNOW didn't read reviews but on a second visit quoted my review from the "Juicey Details" section as told from another hobbiest!  That was weird!

I was with a provider that on a second visit remembered ME but didn't remember the "handle" or the review.

I have been with a provider that remembered the "handle" and review, but afterwards didn't remember ME!

I guess it's all about frankness, honesty and being considerate.  Assume that the lovely creature you're spending time with will read it.  This is their livlihood but it's also something that some ladies put their heart into.  It does no one any good to break it.

reviews. The ones who are'nt up for their game, I feel compelled to write about to be true to the purpose of this forum, but I feel badly about writing things that I know will hurt the ladies feelings. I try to find a way to say it that could be taken as constructive criticism, but that is not easy. I was extremely upset by one lady who took offense at my review, and claimed it was false. I didn't think it was that bad of a review, but she had several really good ones, so I think she was a little spoiled. Almost made me not want to write any more reviews.

She knew she had reviews on another board but I had found 4 or 5 of them on TER. I informed her of them. She didn't even know about TER or the reviews. She was so grateful, she knocked 25% off her normal donation for hooking her up with this site. She now has several pages of outstanding reviews.

do you check out his reviews of other ladies before
the date?

All the ladies I have seen I found through TER, so yes they are aware of their reviews.

They read them and sometimes when we are together, we get laughing about what was written and what actually took place.

If I can believe the ladies, and I know I can, about half of what is written is "not exactly" what happened.
But we do get a laugh when they remember the writer and say "that's not quite how it happened" or "he must be thinking of someone else".

Anyway, the ladies I see are aware of their reviews and read them regularly.

Just my opinion...
B

My ATF insists that she has *never* read TER (where she has many outstanding reviews), but just hears from her customers about it occasionally.  Yet, when I recently ventured to guess how many pages of reviews she had, she was quick to correct me with the true figure.

So, while doubtless there are ladies out there who really don't care, I strongly suspect there are others who merely *affect* not to care.  They care all right -- they've just concluded that it's unseemly to admit it.  :)

Cheers!
