For those of us who have tried TS (pre-op), I was wondering if you could share some of your thoughts, experiences, etc. on being with one of these providers.  I've been interested in a while, but have been holding back due to my own uncertainties (I'm not uncomfortable with the idea but would like to hear about other folks "first times").

I know that this is not for everyone, but I get the feeling that more than a few of us have thought about it.  I've been a long time hobbiest and have had many good and bad providers; however, lately I've felt the desire to look for something "more" - but I don't have any direct desires to play for the other team.

At the risk of being insensitive, it sounds like the "something more" you seek is a penis.  This is called "gay" whether you want to admit it yet or not.  Hiding behind the "Bi" label doesn't change things.  Neither does putting a dress and make-up on a man, it only sugar-coats the reality you're not yet ready to deal with.   You may see many shades of gray in this area, but I see only two:

1. If you both have (or had) a penis = GAY
2. If only one of you was born with a penis = Not GAY

Now don't misconstrue my unwillingness to play the name game to mean that I'm intolerant or condeming your actions, I'm not.  I strongly believe in sexual freedom of expression for everyone.  I just don't think we should kid ourselves here, nor should you expect us to think this is something a lot of otherwise straight guys do or think about when they're bored, just because you do- it's not.

In addition, in case you don't understand the meaning of the above posts, this subject has been recently discussed on the LA board. The concern is that many TV/TS seem to be much less concerned about STD's (of all types and severity) than other groups, and those individuals that move between the gay and straight provider communities greatly increase the potential risk of exposure to HIV in the straight group.

Sorry if this isn't the support you were seeking, but you have to realize this probably isn't the best place to explore this subject since this is a predominantly hetero group of guys seeking (birth) females (isn't that the new PC euphemism for real women?).   There must be some other boards that specialize in this scene that should offer more of what you seek.

G2,
I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Gay,curious, friend,
please I can't stress enough how dangerous of a game you are entering.  Perhaps you can sort the issue out in therapy and then safely approach some kind of a relationship or experience with a gay man that is less dangerous than a tv,ts,prostitute.
be careful and good luck to you.
