I travel to Mass. Frequently to visit friends. I want to know what the laws are concerning Mass. I live in Rhode Island, and the law is written differently here; I want to be on the right side of the law.
Specifically, the laws in Mass. Seem very strict: people say some weird things to me on the phone, and it all seems like some sort of code…Is there something I should know?
Sir: Prostitution is NOT decriminalized in Rhode Island! Okay, I live here and "know" people in law enforcement and the law profession...the law is written (and has been since the advent of cars!...) so that it is illegal to solicit from the sidewalk to a car, or from a car to the sidewalk. The law does not provide for punishment otherwise, but that is not to say that prostitution is legal/de-criminalized in RI. I read the law in Mass., thank you! It seems to be harshest upon the johns and pimps, and only charges the provider with $500 and/or q1 year in jail. Got it - thanks!
I'm not an attorney, either. But my impression, from reading various newspaper accounts, is that laws are much more liberal in Rhode Island than almost anywhere else (except certain counties in Nevada, and maybe some places in Alaska.) So, if you want to be on the right side of the law, confine your professional activities to down there, where you already are.
If you want to draw some MA customers, you could be near the state line, but stay on the RI side.
all I did was Google Massachusetts prostitution laws and it was the first link.
And Alicin will you please resize your photos before posting? There's a free tool called the GIMP that you can use if you want to do it yourself. http://www.gimp.org/
