I was with a provider on Friday afternoon. BBBJ and covered sex. On Saturday evening, I started feeling itchy at the base of my penis on the top. This morning (Sunday), it's a bit red and it looks like I have a few small white heads.

Does anyone have any idea what I picked up? I'm hesitant to visit a doctor since I am married. Any advice would be appreciated!

It could be contact dermatitis from latex or lub, or viral infection.  Those white things are vesicles and their contents carry the answer as to what this is.  

You should also make contact with the provider about this.


Be very careful about spreading this to your wife!  If you are worried about seeing a Dr. just think about her seeing one.

milliliters of Glyoxide. Now you have TurboListerine that will put the hurt on most of the infectious critters in the oral cavity. Both you and the ladyfriend have a nice gargle prior to
the sparks, and repeat the same afterwards.

Won't solve all problems or reduce risks to zero, especially if there are active sites in the mouth or vagina, if DATY is your thing, but it sure beats doing nothing.

Unless you had an open cut somewhere on your penis, it's very unlikely that you picked up some nasty STD... more likely, it's just irritated. Perhaps it got a little more activity than usual? Remember the skin there is VERRRRRRRRY sensitive! Or maybe the latex in the condom irritated you later on? Lots of people are sensitive to latex. Or perhaps a lubricant. Was nonoxynol9 involved? Who knows... DO go to a doctor. If you don't feel comfy going to your family doctor, go to a local clinic. Planned Parenthood's and the like are all over the place!

We don't even know in which State this  gentleman got his bbj, or lives, or  will seek his treatment for schlong affliction, or the State in which it might fall off, or be snipped off, i e, 'bobbitted.'

The doc will surely honor the privilege unless ordered by a court to do otherwise. Otherwise the gent would sue the doc big time. The docs who've saved my life maybe six times were honorable folks, inicidentally, so I'm not a cynic about this.

The problem here is that the medical records would be key and essential evidence in a divorce and/or personal injury suit brought by the innocent wife if she catches something awful from this schlong. Most courts would find an exception to the privilege under such circumstances, and let the evidence in, since the husband may have violated both the prostitution and adultery criminal laws of the State. It may be a bj-sodomy State  too, which is a felony, as in Virginia.

Of course the chance that the wife would blow or boink the husband within the next decade is probably nonexistent, so the question is likely a moot one. LOL. "Honey, I have a headache, please no bj tonight!"

I'm going to assume that you think that this little quip is funny.  Granted there are Dr.'s and there are Dr.'s.  Some are asses and most are not IMHO.

Dr. patient privilege to an ethical Dr. means that the info will go no further.  In fact in cases other than that of a minor a Dr. must get a release from the patient to discuss his/her medical/dental condition (using the patients name) with anyone else including another Dr.  

There is a public health issue with std's and the effort should be made to inform partners of people known to have been in contact with the infected person.  But the knoweldge of who was in contact is inside the head of the patient and only your good judgement can let that information go where it needs to go.  

There is no law saying that you must even tell your Dr. that you are married.  Information of that nature may help in getting a handle on the patient from the Dr.'s perspective (eg. family, job, divorce, etc. paint a certain picture of a person) but that information is not a legal requirement.  You should contact the lady who you were with about this.

Now, when the chips are down who ya gona call, Ghost Busters? Bashing Dr.'s is totally uncalled for and counterproductive.  They want to help you. We should all find a Dr. you can trust BEFORE you need help.

You might want to consider seeing a doctor who doesn't know either you or your wife. Do you travel on business? If so, go to one in the other city. If you live in or near a large city, there are hundreds (maybe thousands in a place like New York)of doctors. Pick one out of the yellow pages.

Pay for the visit at the time of service (if the doctor doesn't know you, you'd probably have to anyway.)You might want to bite the bullet and not file an insurance claim, so that nothing comes to your house. Oh yes, be sure to pay cash.

Perhaps a local public health center or clinic would be better.  Just as private and cash is accepted there too.

If you are actually concerned about your family doctor keeping your secrets then go to a walk-in medical clinic and let that doctor take care of your problem.  The condition is probably not all that uncommon and is probably relatively easy to treat.

However, they are often booked for weeks and don't always take walkin's (at least not around here)  I go in once a month to get tested and use various clinics around, heck, I think you may be able to even look up one in the phone book.  The three I rotate all are very discreet, don't even use your real name when sending your stuff to the labs and doesn't raise any eyebrows as i'm sure they have seen it all.  My doc thinks I'm a swinger and I'm just active heh...

Walk into a clinic or an ER and change your name to John Doe or something,and pay cash, but DON'T WAIT...do it now, today, Monday, don't mess around with this...

Aren't certain STDs "reportable" meaning the doctor or clinic has to report it to someone when they treat a patient for STDs?

Check out this site they have pictures. Check the yellow pages in your area you will find doc's or clinics who give std testing
it will probably cost you about 100 bucks give or take. It takes about 4/5 days to get the results. You can go to a County clinic and get free testing but it takes longer to get the results. Goodluck!

JustAnotherDoc - guess I've read too many horror stories about docs. It's the ones we don't want to see or deal with that seem to make the news reports.

It first will turn a crimson red, which will fade to gangrenous, black tissue. At that point, the skin that comprises your dick will slough off rather quickly, taking your member with it.  Once you are dickless, you will be cured, and will be able to focus on your job and family to a degree you never thought possible.

In the end, you will be left looking like a Ken doll.  Congratulations!!

Go visit your local Planned Parenthood, the staff is very nice and they are very private with your information. Pay in cash and you won't have a problem of someone tracking you down.
You also have the advantage of going on a Saturday.

Go see a Dr . Sounds like yeast infection. I got the same thing  a few years back . You should let usknow eho it is so we al ownt pass it around . Both partners have to take this pill every day for like 2 weeks and it is gone but dont wait you will pass it on to the misses.

Thanks for all your advice. I ended up going to the local Planned Parenthood clinic and seeing a doctor there. He examined me and took a culture and said that it nothing. Probably just an abrasion that got slightly infected, but not an STD. It had started to heal on its own soon after my initial posting.

Whew, was I happy to hear that!
