I was just wondering.....as an independant I have learned that doing my own screening has made life so much nicer for me than when I worked for an agency and I worked for very reputable agencies.  I have only walked away from two situations since becoming an independant provider (one because the invironment and the person was filthy beyond words, the other because the person was drunk beyond words).  Some of the situations I was sent to by agencies were ghastly!! Some downright dangerous.  Any ladies have comments on this?

I have found that the quality of the client usually depends on where you advertise.  I don't advertise in many printed publications here in Atlanta because those are not the clients that I want to attract.  Instead, I advertise on the Internet, so I get mostly professional businessmen and very few, but upperscale students.  The services, even the most reputable ones, have the tendency to advertise anywhere and everywhere because even though they say that your safety is paramount, it's really the money that is #1.

While I am not a provider (rather hobbyist) I have actually heard the same complaint from some of the porn stars who have gone independent.  That the agencies are booking so many girls, they are not doing an adequate job of screening...

The other factor that seems to eliminate some of the problems is a higher rate. As the price gets more expensive, the clientale changes..

I have been there myself and agree wholeheartedly.  Most agencies use the screening, safety and discretionary issue as more of a marketing tool.  It boils down to $$$ and the hell with everything else and the ladies are the ones that end up dealing with the reprecussions.  

There are however, some very good agencies out there that do have the ladies well being in mind, as well as the gents.  I have found those to be run by former top notch independent ladies.  Unfortunately, they are very far and few inbetween.

I can tell who is serious and who is not by the potential guy asking the right questions.
I am only serious with guys who have a valid number show up on my phone, (no blocked, unavailable or resticted.)
Also, if the guy talks on the phone for more than 2 minutes, he is full of crap and is just wasting time.

I trust them when they call. I don't ask for last names, ss#'s home addresses or work info. Just a first name and valid #.

I can only name those in my area.  Tori's Secrets is one and based in DC.  She is more of a stepping stone for ladies first entering the biz and many end up going independent after learning the ropes.  She has a couple of girls that have stuck with her, but that is mainly becasue this is a part time endeavor for them and they have full time careers that would make going independent more of a headache than a blessing in their case.
