Whats the nicest gift you ever gave a Provider, or received if a Provider.........what is it with gifts?  Expected? Appreciated?  Stupid?

a lovely amber necklace I was admiring in a store and a day at a health spa. Wow! Now that was nice. Gifts are certainly not expected but I have to admit it was a nice gesture and made me feel great. I've also given presents to clients for special occasions, and sometimes "just because".

Hugs,
Ciara

shit eatin' grin on my face, but alas you would never give it, and I would certainly never expect it for any reason. But I could dream!

Gifts (flowers, jewelry, ect) are for SO only!  IMHO a big tip is the only appropriate gift for this hobby. In most instances she will enjoy that better than any gift you buy for her

ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY WHEN I RECEIVE GIFTS.  SOMEONE TOOK A COUPLE OF HOURS, DISPOSABLE INCOME AND EXTRA THOUGHT.  ALL OF THESE ARE PRECIOUS.

Two days ago I met a man for the first time, and lo and behold he came laden with gifts for me, AND my Yorkie, Jpeg.  Unbelievable.  ONE of the gifts was a TY toy... a winged dragon.  NOW HOW could he possibly know that I had the mate?  Another winged dragon TY toy.  Synchronicity.

Yet another time, a first time client brought me a gift of a Siamese Betta in brilliant blue, my favorite color.  How did either of us know that things in my life were getting ready to happen that made that fish a very important part of my very lonely (at that time) life?

When a human being takes time out of their day to truly be thoughtful, it is the MOST precious thing.  A flower, even a pair of foldup reading glasses from RiteAid that someone asked me to pick up for him, and he was sooooooooo happy a month later that I had remembered, because at the time they had been out of stock.  He knew that I had kept that on my mind.  That he ranked in importance in my life.  No matter, that he was a "client".  He was a human, who asked me for a favor, and it was a difficult thing for him to do, being who he is.

Remember though, you give a gift to give it. Not for the response.  So release it.  You really are not responsible for HOW it will be received.  If there is a negative reception, then let it go, it was about her, not about you.

One more thing, like CiCi...I do buy gifts for clients.  I LOVE doing it!

Now as for the man who loves to be the ONLY one to buy me white roses, so much so that he wants me to take that off my website.
XoXo to you....

xoxo

.....so I don't really have a favorite. I love receiving a gift that is unexpected as it is such a sweet gesture!

I had made a date with a visiting provider. I wanted her to feel very welcome when she came to town since I was her first appointment. I decided to get her a silk chamise. I spent a lot of time looking for one I thought was elegant and special (I wanted to find a sand washed silk one). I finally found a nice one at an upscale shop. I also wanted to give her flowers since they would brighten her room for the whole time she was here. I had a source for very nice roses that weren't already in an arrangement so I went and got a nice vase that would hold 2 dozen roses.
The day before she was to arrive, she sent a message cancelling our session (she couldn't travel on the day she planned). So I still have the silk chamise and the vase. I may give it to another visiting provider but is doesn't feel the same. It will still be nice for her.

Only once it went over like a dud.  I felt silly.  It's obviously easier to do properly on a repeat visit...once you realize what kind of tunes she loves.
When I've burned a disc for a second visit I've gotten calls on the way to my car.  I can hear the calm joy in their voice.  (nobody seems to open gifts when I give them...which is kinda nice...I want them to be for their "me" time.)
Music is such an astonding gift when it "clicks".

How about something for the "kids".
I'm sure they would like to be thought about sometimes.

Just my opinion...
