There have been many posting here regarding a provider on her period.

My question is should a provider be really creative in posting that she is on her monthly period or do you think it is distasteful.

Do you know of other creative ways to do it?

Do you really care?

Do you want honesty before you decide and get an unsuspected surprise?

Should she list herself as available..but when the client contact her she say...damn!!..LQQk just started my period cant meet you can we reschedule or I can offer something else to your liking or a referral?

This way she still get the contacts and can follow up. I am sure provider send clients to other provider or have other provider working with them such as I, But what if a client says I saw your site and I just want you. What do I say?

I know of the rule of thumb! There is a time that the provider should takes a break, but what provider do you know that work 24/7?

P. S I will be updating my picture on my site this month so don't forget to check it out Wink!!!!)

I think a warning would be great. Personally, I would appreciate a call or email giving me the opportunity to reschedule if it slipped up on the provider. I think that would quailfy as "extraordinary service" and should be addressed in a subsequent review. It would just be another example of "a classy lady". You are to be commended for bringing this up for discussion.

I for one would not want to see a lady when she is menstruating. Beside the aesthetics there is the issue of transmission of blood borne diseases.  So, I would want to know when I booked and if not then be advised before the session if something unexpected happened.  I'm actually surprised that this is even an issue, aren't you all on birth control meds and can predict when you will be out of commission?

The nineteenth-century Parisienne courtesan who served as the inspiration for the title characters in both Alexandre Dumas (fils)' novel and play _La Dame aux Camellias_, and Verdi's opera _La Traviata_, supposedly used her signature flower as a signal.  Most of the time she wore a white camellia, but fairly regularly sported a red one for a few days.  Images of these flowers could be used similarly on one's web site.  Whether your clients got such an allusive hint would of course depend on how familiar they were with French letters.

I don't think the provider needs to post this info on her ads, but when contacted, she can state that she is unavailable for personal reasons.   At that time she can make referals or suggest
an alternative time to meet.  I would also expect the same courtesy if she is getting over a cold, has a cough, or the like, to just state her health status when contacted:)

And so are able to go with our natural rythms...

I tend to advise that some activities will need to be curtailed, DATY for example but as I am known for SPEAKING French.. LOL...

Outside of DATY there is not much that really is inhibited by a ladies period due to things like the Instead cup (mentioned earlier) And as I tend to be randier during my period it makes for some hot sessions with those willing to go for it!

Only the Pill really regulates periods... at least in my experience.  I am terrible at remembering to take a pill every day, so I get a monthly shot. (Not depo, but similar.)  I was about 5 days early this month... and that just happens sometimes.  Welcome to the world of womanhood :)

Re:  I'm actually surprised that this is even an issue.

It is an issue because there are lots of posting here and other boards about the unexpected period before, after and during
a meeting.

Re: aren't you all on birth control meds and can predict when you will be out of commission?

microbe_hunter! unusual side effects can happen and cause the period to change it course, Birth Control can cause abnormal bleeding also other contraceptive problems. Some women bleed between periods, sometimes light, sometimes heavy some time for one day. It can be from missing a pill or two or taking them at different times in the day or change in birth control. Also it can occurs for no reason at all and cause the period to start at a different time of the month.  My period runs between 10-15 sometime 25-30. Each woman is different depending on the body either or when the unexpected change happen to me it drive me crazy.

With respect to "Mother Nature has had her way with me", it reminds me of that '70's commercial that "It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature." Then, I think there was a thunderclap.

Spotting is fine, no problem. But I'd prefer not to deal with heavy gushing.

(sorry, I took down my original comment - it was too gross)

OK, huge diff here. If you are bleeding out of that orifice, honey, you've been playing with the boys a bit too hard and I'd say something is medically VERY WRONG.

A lady who is on her period is actually going thru a very healthy process. I will grant you that it may not be the best idea to indulge during that time (I usually just take a few days off), but it's two TOTALLY different things.
