Questions about shaving?sad_smile

Hello All,

I had an experience last week that has left me with a few questions. Any advice you may have is appreciated.

During an encounter with a very nice lady last week she began telling me how sexy she thought it was when a man shaves his pubes. I was quite reluctant but then a little later Jose Quervo joined the party and between the two of them they talked me into shaving.

Used an electric shaver. No big deal. I developed a little irritation. Similar to what I get on my neck if I shave dry. No big deal. Then yesterday
I shaved again with my regular razor in an attempt
to get a closer shave. Ouch! I have developed a very annoying rash....

What can I do to treat this?
Should I continue shaving?
Does this pose any health risk if I want to hobby?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks

Shy

Patient: Doctor I get a headache every time I pound my head against the wall. What should I do?

Doctor: Stop pounding your head against the wall.

Seriously if your nut sack and crotch are sensitive to shaving, then don't shave them. Sounds like you are going through alot of effort and pain in order to provide perceived enjoyment to someone who you are paying to pleasure you (not the other way around).

If you enjoy being shaved, then try some sensitive skin shave gels, and lotions to minimize the burn and rash. Ladies leg products might be a good place to start.

Careful you don't slice your pecker off in the process, that would sort of defeat the purpose of shaving, LOL.

Seriously though, I generally don't have an issue with generic throwaway razors in the shower.  Well, that excludes trying to find my balls around my belly.

as you are just starting the process of shaving and this does happen.

I like the twins shaved and they will get more attention. It will also feel better, than if you had hair. This is why I shave, as the tongue action is much more intense.

Just be patient, hang in there and you will be fine.

Hope this helps,
Kelly

yes, wildwestkelly is right it will go away eventually. I shaved my penis and man I swore it would never heal but it did and my provider like sucking my smooth cock!!!

A while ago I started using the Norelco Body Groomer. It works great - I can shave all the sensitive areas and have had no irritation at all. I found it at Target. See the following link. It is not only informative, it's entertaining. You need to have a sense of humor about topics like this.

I used the Body Groomer to trim the long stuff.  Then used a Fusion on the sack to get it smooth.  No problems.

Thank you for the replies.

Any suggestions as to how I can ease the redness & discomfort ???

BTW: the first time I used a Braun electric. Second time I used a new 5 bladed disposable that
was very comfy on my face & neck. It was brand new, I shaved my face while showering & thought "I bet this would work better than the electric"
I was mistaken.....

1)  You might have shaved upward (to get a closer shave), so you may have irritated the roots.

2)  You already have hair growing back in, and it could be ingrown hairs (can be very sore).

3)  Use Aloe Vera Gel (not lotion). I use "Lily of the Valley." I get it at health stores. It comes in a tube. It's 99 percent aloe. Apply it after shaving and cleaning. This will soothe the irritation.

P.S.  Now you know how we feel having to shave all the time for men. :)  Sorry, but couldn't resist. Imagine shaving your pubic and lip area, your legs and plucking your eyebrows. Men have it easy.

Hugs,
Ciara

Believe it or not, I had the same exact problem with shaving.  My skin is EXTREMELY sensitive!  Solution?

1.  Women's shaving products..."Skintimate" to be exact.  Might be a little embarrassing to buy, but I have known men who shave their face with it because their skin becomes less irritated.  Excellent product!

2.  Triple or quadruple bladed razor...forget Bic..pulls the hair out instead of cutting which causes irritation.  I use a "Venus" razor, but Shick "Quattro" is also excellent.

Meanwhile, give your sensitive skin a chance to heal before trying again.  Oh, by the way, I'd avoid depillatories like "Nair".  The skin is way to sensitive and is likely to get something akin to sunburn.

If you want a new lesson in pain, you can try waxing.  I do know a gent who does that.  Way too painful for me, personally.  I'll just stick with shaving!

I attempted this very same act of misguided something-or-other within the last month, with less-than-impresssive and not terribly comfortable results.

So i wonder, is it possible to finesse this by using a dipilatory?  Are any made especially for men for this purpose?

Can that fine old womens' product, NAIR, be used by men for this purpose.

Perhaps i'll experiment and report back on this myself.

And, having nothing to do with this topic, i just notied that the message box/field had been considerably enlarged.  Many thanx TER gods.

You will have the same results as us. We just don't have the dick and balls in the way! LOL

Hope this helps,
Kelly

Funny story about Nair, in high school I had a guy friend that got the crabs and the Nair, not only got rid of the crabs, the hair came off and it didn't hurt him.

Ladies can't use it, as our areas are much more sensitive and would not recommend it, as I have learned from experience.

Now, can I make an appointment to get a spanking? Ready whenever you are, baby? ;)

Luv,
Kelly

a fresh, clean, Quatro razor and a little bit of care and

VIOLA.....

soft and smooth as a baby's behind.

Just my opinion...

If I haven't shaved for awhile, I don't try to get everything the first day.  The second day I can get pretty clean shaved.  I leave the area above the shaft unshaved, just trimmed back.  I have been doing this for a couple of years and wife has never noticed.  But then she hasn't given a blow job in 5 years and intercourse is about once a year with her.

Dick looks bigger, and it feels like it goes deeper, but that's probably just because I feel the woman's pussy lips better.

I wouldn't be surprised if the real culprit was the electric shaver.  They are known to give a closer shave on the face.  Maybe too close for the balls.  Give your skin a few weeks of rest and then try what I do.

I use a standard Gillete two blade on my balls and shaft and trim the area around my belly with electric clippers. For the shaving I use lots of gel based shaving cream and always use a fresh blade.  I haven't had any problems.

I also use a skin lotion that has lots of aloe and apply it every morning.  I only shave every other week and things haven't gotten irritated for me.

The electric clippers that I use to keep my skull shaved are not something you want near your balls.  It took me about 5 seconds to figure that out  :o   But they do a nice job of giving a neat trim elsewhere.

I have not used Nair, but I have read cautions about it.  The claims are that it is too harsh for
the sensitive skin of the balls.  I would urge caution.

I've done that experimenting with shaving.  It does bring the experiment to an end-- for ethical reasons.

You should see what slicing does to end the experiment.  OUCH!

Try The Art Of Shaving, both the products and techniques seem to work well.  If you do get bumps, you can use The Art of Shaving product, Tendskin or PFB . The Art of Shaving advocates prevention over cure.  try shaving with the grain first, then re-lather to shave lightly against the grain.  I get baby smooth, it feels great.

I just started using Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps shave gel, and it's great. Yeah, it's for women, but it has really cut down on the irritation when I shave my "sensitive area".  I use the Mach 3 razor and haven't had any problems yet.  The smoothness is great!!
