TER General Board

This is not the place to post reviews.  You may post a mini review on your regional board after you have submitted a review to the database, but do not make it an ad for the lady.  Giving your fellow members a heads-up on an experience is one thing; posting an ad for a lady is another.  TER Moderators may, at their discretion and judgment, delete any such posts that, in their opinion, are not appropriate.  We are trying to keep shilling to a minimum on TERs boards.

ISOs go on the ISO board or a regional board, not this board.

Ads go on the regional, Porn Star or Transexual boards, not this board.

Posts telling us all that you do not have VIP membership and cannot read your TER mail will be deleted.  If you want to read your mail, become a VIP member.  That will get you other benefits as well.  You can pay by credit card or money order.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks,
Girl Next Door

Just a Q-

Why delete posts telling that one does not have VIP to read PMs- how does this hurt anyone?  One is simply telling others who might be trying to PM that this is not an option.

Apart from that rather lame element, I support all the "rules" we have on these boards...

When I am not a VIP, I don't pine away to read my PMs, I just want folks to know I won't be readin' them until I hobby agin'.

This website is a business.  Private Messaging is a value added feature and an incentive to join, especially when you have a message waiting - clever idea!  By allowing those postings they would be reducing the incentive and losing membership opportunity.

As far as your wish to let folks know you won't be readin' them, they'll figure it out!

I'm not associated with TER in any way, but I am a big supporter and can't tell you how valuable this site has been to me.  I WANT them to stay in business and make money.  They deserve it!

Simply pay the VIP membership fee, it is small and one of the best deals that I have seen for a long time.  Whenever I write a review, it is done as a service to other members, not to get me VIP status.  Just one person's viewpoint.

dude-

There are enough good reasons to go VIP that letting non-VIPs discuss therir predicament poses NO threat to the business model.  This is an advertisement driven site.  The ads will find their audience no matter what.

I do think that when a site gets overly greedy or does not support the culture it already created it runs the risk of hubris.

It is a sign of weakness to be overly concerned with this issue.  Whaty is the fear?  What harm does this do?

Great for you.  But for those of us whose participation is sporadic, there is no harm in letting us notify PMers that there will be no answer.

I will suck up to the powers that be here most of the time, because I think the product is good.  But when they make a mistake, I like to mention it too.

I like the services and the community- but its just a site.

I made myself an alias of "elegantelise" so it wasn't really an alias, but it didn't have an envelope next to it for people to "click" and send me PM's.

I think this really diminished the number of PM's I received (also I let them know on my regional board PLUS I always left my [email protected] address in the text of my message for contact.)

So maybe you could try on a variation of something like sully (don't know if the names are case driven) or you get my drift... something really close so we know who you are, but you just don't have that inviting little envelope for comment.  And don't forget to set up and alternate  [email protected] so we can privately comment too!!~~I don't think that's against policy, GND????

Elise [email protected] or, of course, now a VIP again!

Hey Sully, how about when I DID have a VIP, but didn't realize that I was getting PMs, and so didn't answer them??  Verrrrry smooth!

I don't think it's about fear, harm, weakness, mistake or greed.
It's just a marketing decision, and in my opinion clever.
But I can see how you don't like it and that's ok too.  peace.

I'm guilty!  I was the one who asked that she post this message because of recent posts I was trying to make about getting PMd. I wanted others to know that unless you're a VIP, you cannot receive PMs.

I am, however, buying a VIP membership so I can read my PMs.

Hugs,
Ciara

Agree on "the product is good" and "has been very helpful". Yes, I write reviews to help others just as I have been helped by many of you.

However, I can't seem to receive an answer from staff when I send them an e-mail re. NOT GETTING CREDIT FOR REVIEWS.  It is not the monthly fee that is the issue, just living up to the terms & conditions, e.g. every 2 reviews in a month = 1 month VIP membership.
