I am having a lot of no-show customers, enough to be a waste of my time and it's really irritating, i am thinking of quitting - how can I avoid this? what makes a person just not show up?
I went through the same thing when I didn't screen and it was a pain in the ass, so I know about the NO SHOWS!
When I started a screening them, I noticed the NO SHOWS stopped. I found that if a guy is serious, most of the time, he will give you the info you ask for.
Can't handle those time wasting, jerk offs! It's amazing that grown men play those games, seems like they would have better things to do with their time.
Hang in there, you can get rid of most of them, but you may need to change your ways! Good Luck!
Very good advice.. screening is the key.. Is one of the reasons my page is so in depth... If they are going to take time to read all that, They are apparently intested in seeing me.. and arent going to waste my time..
As well.. you have to remember.. a majority of the men are business men.. they have schedules..last minute meetings.. meetings that go over their time... three keys for this business you must have is.. understanding.. patience and good intuition..
I do not like it when its done to me as a client..and I refuse to do it to another.
A certin amount of respect is due on both sides of the fence. I suggest that you screen and try to keep some type of list of numbers. Do you not have access to some board from TER for help?
I am sorry that you have been treated so. It is not fair, and not what a gentleman should do to a lady.
Perhaps you should get referrals and a phone number, just ask your clients to confirm in the am the day of their appt. It's best to screen these people. You never know who youre are dealing with if youre not screening your clients. Better to have a no show then a lunatic. A number and two referrals will usually help a great deal. I can give you some more info on a very good screen if you email me. Good Luck, Alyssa
I recently ran into a related problem. Had seen provider before so she knew I was legit. Called to confirm appt. - everything a-okay. Knew the approximate travel time so departed accordingly. Got caught in traffic and ended up arriving about 10 minutes late. Knocked on door and was told "This is a really bad time for you to be here - when you didn't show at 1:00 I didn't think you were coming" - needless to say, I was more than a little pissed. Are there any rules of the road so that both provider and hobbyist are treated fairly? If I had been a first-timer, I would have understood, but shouldn't there be a little slack for extenuating circumstances? I'd certainly extend that courtesy to a provider.
things come up in life and people need to understand that. If the guy calls and says i will be late i say ok thanks for calling and even if it is only 10 mins i give him up to one hour and if i don't get a call from him again to say he is still going to be late then he is a no show. I want to be with the guys as much as they want to be with me. BE-GOOD-I-TRY-TO sassy (orlando Fl.)
I screen and then ask that they call me at least an hour prior to our scheduled appointment time to get the specific driections to my place. If they don't call, I assume something came up but I don't note them as a no-show. I haven't had anyone call to say they were on their way (and got my specific directions) and then not show up.
