Any fun going on?  I have been off the boards for awhile on business..

I do have a question.. What is the story behind having your tongue pierced? It looks painful as hell, and second, not very attractive. But being open minded, I am curious if anyone can clue me into why girls and guys are doing this?

with a pierced tongue.  A piece of metal touching my pecker didn't do anything for me. I can only claim to have had bbbj w/ a tongue ring a handful of times, but each one proved no better with the ring. Did I miss something?

Tongue piercing is old news.  The new thing is tongue splitting.  Is it just me or does it seem like nonconformity is the new conformity?  You get the tattoos and the piercings. You buy a Mac and a VW.  You Do the Dew and watch the X Games.  You look, talk, and act like any of the other 40 million 20-something nonconformists.  If you really don't want to conform, try just being your own person.  Don't make a pincushion out of yourself just to prove you aren't a tool of the machine.

Forget the tongue piercing and having a chandelier hanging from your dick.

You really want to live on the edge of society and freak out the average guy, dress neatly, go to church, get to work on time, and pay your taxes. You might even wear a tie around the house if you think your SO's wouldnt get freaked out. (See "Ward Cleaver" for style guide)

From the individuals that I have spoken with that do have piercings, aside from the fashionable attributes they believe they get from it, many claim that it does heighten the sexual experience with extra stimuli.

From the recipients that I have spoken to, they claim it is not true.  

From a medical point of view, it is claimed that people with tongue piercings and genital piercings are highly prone to infections due to food particles trapped and bacteria trapped within the piercings.

So, my conclusion is that it has everything to do with an individuals tastes in fashion and belief, not unlike getting a tattoo.  Nothing wrong with that.  To each their own.  It is something that I just don't personally find all that attractive (although belly button rings are cute, IMHO) and do not feel comfortable with the medical risks.

I can't comment on the tongue ones, since I don't have one...I've heard from gents good and indifferent about it. Variety!

But genital piercings are no more dangerous than NOT being pierced. Once healed, unbroken skin is just that... unbroken skin! Unbroken skin is the best protection we have against STD's, remember. In the past year since I was pierced I've had exactly zero piercing related infections. Of course I do make sure I soak my coochie in between fun... but I always did that anyways! ;)

And I think my lil' clit bar is adorable Lauren, I'll hafta show you sometime :)

and what drives politics?  Money.  France, Germany and Russia were making billions from Iraq.  They we looking after their national and financial interests.  In my opinion that's the way the world works.

From what I understand the Persian Gulf contains 90% of the worlds oil reserves.  GW and all his oil company friends (contributor's) saw this as a threat to their financial interests.  They tried to persuade Clinton to invade back in 1999.

So the US is just looking after our interests.
