I am very well known here in NYC and have many friends in the hobby community who I haver never had a date with but I know socially...Many of these guys use me as a reference to book appointments w/ other gals....while I am happy to say that I know them (and I say That)I feel uncomfortable giving a reference for someone I havent dated....am I off base???even though I know someone socially how do I give a honest reference other than saying he is nice and not LE. Why do guys ask me to vouch for them when they haven't dated me but have many more gals who they have??
I would agree that you can't give an honest reference about how a social contact would be as a client. For all the reasons that you have probably made a mental list of.
The approach I take with references is to only ask an escort for one more reference than the number of times I have seen her. That forces me to use only current references, and makes sure that I don't take advantage of the generosity of any one escort.
you should stop trying to be everyones friend and should refuse to give a reference.....you do not know if someone is LE or not by seeing them socially. This is a bad practice. YOu should refuse politely. You should only give a referral for someone you have seen and has gone through what ever screening you do.
Dangerous practice....
Alias used so I dont receive the wrath of the miki supporters.
There's this gal, Miki in NYC. Everyone loves her, so what I want you guys to do is get to meet her and become great friends...
"Then when she agrees to turn a trick we bust her, right chief?"
Will you let me finish first,...That's too direct, instead, like I said, you get to know her quite well for a few years, then some day when you have her trust...
"Then we bust her, right?"
What's the matter with you, let me finish telling you what the plan is!...Now, as I was saying, when this day comes, you make an appointment with another provider and use Miki as a reference, see? That way we get to bust the other provider and they'll never suspect that you're LE because Miki gave you a reference.
"I just don't get it sarge, if Miki is the provider we get to know in the first place, why don't we just bust her?"
You kids just starting off just don't get it do you? How else to keep everyone here busy looking like we're doing something to fight crime if we just go out and arrest the first person we see? You all want to be out of a job overnight?
"Gee, sarge, I hope we all get to be as smart as you someday."
Just listen and pay attention kid, you may learn a thing or two yet.
What could be better than a "personal friend" reference from a widely know local gal?? Maybe you should change your business model to "reference provider"? LOL!
As long as you are honest, and tell the provider that you know the guy but have not spent "quality" time with him, then you are doing the right thing.
Not sure what you mean by knowing them socially. If you mean, know them outside of the hobbying venue, then maybe the reason they do not date you is because it is too close for comfort. If socially means that you know them from the boards but have never met face to face, then I would be careful vouching for them, and it would not be appropriate for them to ask for a reference.
If you are still perplexed by this, ask Ophelia for advice
Miki, it sounds like you are doing the right thing IMHO if you are upfront about your relationship with these guys. You can provide character references so these ladies know the guys are not psychopaths or LE.
With 12 pages of great reviews you are probably a reputable lady and a great reference.
... into a M&G. So BP, even MTM's multitude of reviews doesn't qualify her for recommending a hobbyist she hasn't seen professionally. Some of the biggest freaks have had impeccable manners. Just think of all those neighbors of psycopaths that have been interviewed after the nutcase is finally caught (after butchering a dozen people). They all say the same thing: "He was such a gentlemen" or "He was so quiet, never bothered anyone". Let's be more careful out there.
cop out and just say no unless you have seen him.....do you give white list referrals to unknowns too....I don't mean to rag on you but the answer is an obvious NO...don't give any referral to someone you havn't seen profesionally.
