My X SO was a flight attendent and she hated pilots.

On second thought she hated most men.

When I travel and I'm breezing in and out of hotels, I notice gads of blue suited airline people. They are always in the finest of moods...usually 3-4 women and 2 men..."You ladies want to go to dinner? Anyone want to get a drink?" They are always laughing and joking between themselves and seem a far cry from the stressful world of flying planes and saying "Coctail anyone?". I pickup on a certain "in the air" chemistry that someone is getting fucked. Now, it may not be a full blown, 5 person orgie. It may be just one fly attendant atop the pilot.

Am I alone in my summations? Just an active imagination?

HB,  you hit that on the nose, I have a friend thats a Pilot and he is always saying that he is going to dinner and drinks with the crew and such, acts like he can't miss thes times, makes you wonder eh?....  I see then the way you are too..  Makes you put your finger to your temple and say, HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM......LOL

Bet you thought some ad executive came up with this one!

I know a flight attendant who provided some details to life in the clouds, I always thought she was pretty happy for a pastor’s kid....:)

And if I might add, don’t worry about the active imagination; a mind is a terrible thing to waste, so keep on exercising it.

Don't mistake camaraderie for anything other than what it is. Flight crews are tight becuase they have to be, it's the nature of that biz. Usually they're so damn tired at the end of a long day of flying, there's no energy for shenanigans.

On a somewhat similar note, I do know of two ladies that are flight attendants/escorts, bringing new meaning to the term, coffee, tea or me. MfSD.

Well my sort-a-kinda husband happens to be a flight attentant for United. And he has told me about nights 3 or 4 of them share the same room same bed.(although they only sleep)...Hello

He says they are all to tired but there shifts don't always end late at night and there stuck in hotels for the rest of the afternoon and night, with nothing to do.....hmmmm

Anyway just what I know on the subject.

Hugs,
Tammy

PS: Wonder why the coondoms are in his travel bag.....???

Read my book.  It validates your suspicions.

P. S.  The subject line of this post is the title of the book.

I worked for an airline! Why do you think they call it the "Cockpit"?lol, not to mention the joke about Flying mattresses(F/A's) But Im sure its not true for most, just some;)

It happens a lot.  Usually not orgies, but lots of partying and sometimes sex on longer layovers is recognized as being a long-standing tradition in the business.

The Wall Street Journal did a piece a few years back about certain floors at certain airport hotels that are widely recognized throughout the industry as being the airline equivalent of frat row.  The hotels just turn a blind eye and make sure that only airline crews who request it are put on that floor.  I once stayed at one of them in Newark.  I made my way to the "party floor" and had quite a good time.

But even without much wild partying or sex, there is a lot of "letting off steam" on layovers.  Remember, many of these people are away from home for days at a time, and frequently have pretty stressful jobs.  They will tend to get together and let loose.

There used to be a bar outside Narita (Tokyo) airport known as "the trailers," or something like that.  It was in the middle of a big parking lot adjacent to the airport hotels.  There wasn't much else way out by the airport.  The bar was basically a bunch of big-rig trailers that had been parked adjacent to each other, joined together and turned into a large bar.  The owner had painted colored lines from the bar to each of the hotels, so you could just follow your hotel's "color" all the way home.  Crawling home along the colored lines was not unheard of.  (Because of the timing of flights, 2 night layovers were quite common, so you could really go wild the first night.)

I just recently got my pilot's certificate but nothing like that happened to me yet. Mind you, in my little Cessna there is barely enough room to take your jacket off let alone your panties :)
