I used to some years back but now wait for a few revies or a review from someone I know.  There are too many good ones out there to take a risk.  I just realized that I won't "take one for the boys" anymore.  hehe.  How many of you like the thrill of "being the first"?

What's the risk? LE? If you take the provider on a real date like dinner and come back to your room and go all the way, then there's no risk.

there is of course the other risk she won't put out and thats not as bad as spending the night in jail.

Intellectually, I'd think most men would want to wait just a bit and watch for a review or information posted on a message board about a new girl.

But I think you men are really into the visuals. If a picture of a new girl looks hot, some of you are immediately interested and just think with the "little head". LOL.

When I was a complete unknown, and placed my first ad in Eros, I was amazed to start receiving appointment requests within 24 hours. I was outcall only at that time--definitely high risk! :)

My first month was quite busy, and that was without any TER or other board reviews--only a couple of pics on Eros.

I must admit, though, after my first TER review appeared, then business became great and has stayed great...it was obvious that many guys read the new reviews, more than I would have suspected. (Good) reviews definitely encourage new business for the provider.

I do that quite often because I live in a small town and there are not so many reviews out. Sometimes I just feel like seing somebody new and hope to be happily surprised. But I must admit that I use mainly a few good agencies and I know that the girls they have are usually good. So it's not such a big risk.

Recently got tempted to try a new provider based solely on ad picture and description. Beautiful indie blonde, recent grad of Ivy League school, modeling experience. Sent e-mail expecting reasonable rate quote. She tells me she is exclusive and special. Wanted 2K minimum (I assume 1 or 2 hours) but would be flexible for multiple hours! Mind you...no website, no experience, no reviews. I don't mind dropping a few hundred to test the waters, but I'd drown at these prices. The risk far outweighed the possible reward. How does a recent coed start out at this level? Where did she get advice?

what gave her the idea that a newbie indy with no web/exp/revs would be in a position to demand a $2K minimum!

i don't exactly play in the "little leagues" myself, but to me this borders on being ludicrous.  i don't give a rats ass about her ivy league education. for that kinda money i'm not likely to sit there critiquing her thesis.

my god!  the NERVE of some of these gals ... who the F**K do they think they are? i wouldn't poke her with a 10ft pole.

can i have her #?  LOL

I am also in the same boat.  I have two agencies locally that I found to be reliable and not LE.  Obviously the first go around was a little scary.

My friend and I used to take regular trips to NYC (mostly always Julie's).

Event now though, sometimes I look for someone different (using the same agency or referral now).  Variety is the spice of life.
