My Uncle Patrick, who came here from Ireland when he was 3, used to call me his Little Irish Lass for as long as I can remember. I am 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Welsh, 2 nationalities that made up a bulk of the Celtic Tribes. When it came time to find a name for the business the two just seemed to fit and I wasn't in jeopardy of anyone else having that name so it was perfect.

Although with my big mouth, having there only be 1 Celtic Lass can sometimes be to my detriment...LOL

I wanted a two-word alliterative name that would be unique, and I like the connotations of the words "luscious" and "laurel."

Laurel leaves can represent peace, and wreaths of laurel are used to represent merit, accomplishment, reward, glory and honor.

"Luscious" can mean having strong sensual or sexual appeal; seductive.

Do I think too much?  :-)

Not one and the same, huh?

At first I never understood why one would post under one name then review under another.

Then I felt there were actually advantages to the same name...especially in my case, since I can be a difficult "screen" (being self employed amongest other things). It gave providers a chance to "get to know me" before I ever called.

Since then, I have indeed come to understand the conflict it can (and does) create.

Hmmm...not sure what I would chose to do in hindsight...

I just thought that GirlCrazy is very fitting to my personality.

I have thought about asking Staff to change my username to GirlCrazy or a variation of it.  However, since some of my messages are quite personal and being an active reviewer, my reviews are quite explicit, it is probably better for me to maintain the status quo.

I don't intend to reveal my TER handle or alias to any ladies.  (I did slip out my alias once to a visiting lady in a long conversation.)   It would indeed be easier for me to pass the screening of wonderful ladies in LA such as NOSC or Ali if I reveal my TER username.  I do waver about my decision from time to time.

I have made some enemies on TER boards (members, ladies and agencies).  Have my TER handle readily available for anyone to see might place my name in a blacklist in one of those provider boards.

BTW, your screen name is very fitting to your online persona.  It is indeed better to be oneself instead of worrying too much about other's opinion.

P.S. Someone has registered girlcrazy as a user recently; don't know whether he is for real or this is just a plot to play games with me.  Will see.

I just chose something short & simple that I felt would also be  self-descriptive..."grey" (used the British spelling just to be different) for the predominant hair color & because the "wolf" is both a hunter and a word used to denote a guy with an eye for the ladies.

I totally hear you, but its "too bad" in a small way...I respect your opinion on a lot of topics, while at the same time it more than occassionally differs from mine. Thus, just like "Fortitude" (who I feel the same way about), I wouldn't mind having your reviews as reference points for "new" ladies (new to me anyway).

Interesting how people can be different (You...50 something and conservative in your politics, as you have documented here, and caucasian by assumption on my part, Me, 30 something, African American, and at best a "new right Democrat") but yet can find common ground.

It is just interesting to me how the world is made up of so many different people, yet we are all suffering from the human condition. Diversity is truly a blessing...too bad everyone doesn't realize that.

No, I don't...just TER & just the one handle.

But your question piques my curiosity a bit.  A while back I came into contact with an old high-school buddy who I found out used the "greywolf" handle in one of his several email addresses.  I know he spends a lot of time on the 'net...have no idea if he's a hobbyist, but it wouldn't surprise me too much if he does some lurking here & there.  LOL  But there's no copyright to any of our names, so it's probably nothing more than coincidence.

you like my posts as I have a lot of respect for you.  Too bad that you are not TER VIP anymore, otherwise I will PM you my TER handle and other details.

I am only 38 years old, have friends in most major ethnic groups: Irish, WASP, Jewish, African American, Mexican American, Native American, Mexican, British, German, Romanian, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.  I studied in Baptist and Catholic school but is not a Christian in any denomination.  I also have exposures to Buddhism and Islam and know a few of their teachings.  This all comes from the fact that I live in the great state of California :-) .

My acquaintances are often marveled about my political leanings and wondered about why a square guy like me (don't smoke, don't drink and never tried drug) know so many dysfunctional people :-)

I treasure diverse views and believe in civil discourse.  I respected Charlie Rangel and Paul Wellstone’s conviction and dislike Tom DeLay’s hardball politics.  I am pro-abortion and friendly to environmental concerns but disagree with Nancy Polosi’s liberal combative stands.  Although I am a loyal Republican, I admire Harold Ford Jr.’s campaign for the post of minority leader.  I wish he will succeed and give Republicans a run for their money.  It is important for the administration to have a worthy opposition in case they overreach.

United States of America is the greatest country in the history of the world despite all its faults and mistakes.  Diversity, tolerance for dissent and freedom of speech are truly blessings.  They are the keys to the strength of this country.

So you are saying you feel sorry for the self actualized versus those who live to please others?

You feel sorry for someone who understand that the only way to true contentment is to understand that the harshest critic you should ever face is yourself, and once the man in the mirror is able to live with himself, the opinions of others are just that, opinions?

Well, to each their own I suppose...but surely you would have guessed how I feel about that, right?

May you have success with the demons that chase you...and whatever it is that you live for.

I never thought I would debate Maslow here!

When you say "It's my life and the only person I am living for is me" does that sound like you have identification, sympathy, affection for others?

BTW, Are you painfully aware of your own imperfections?

MyLifeAsMe 8 Reviews 5436 reads
posted

It sounds like exactly what I said. If I had known it was a forum for displaying my community involvement, a listing of my friendships, or a detailing of my ability to connect, empathize, and show affection for others, then I would have answered differently. What I recall was a much simplier question...why chose the handle one uses. The response given answers the question, without regard to how it would be analyzed, scrutinized, or judged. Thus, I didn't give any thought to whether or not it "sound(s) like you have identification, sympathy, affection for others?". It's a discussion board about Escorts, remember?

It has been said that when you see hoof marks, think "horses" not "zebras". Do you often over complicate things? I mean, this whole "do you have identification, sympathy, affection for others?" and "Are you painfully aware of your own imperfections" line of logic seems to be the first cousin of the "my appointment got cancelled...someone did that to injure me" thinking below. Life is usually more simple than that. My answer here meant nothing more than exactly what it said. Think horses....

If you are actually interested in those things...my ability to identifty and have empathy for others, I suggest you do a search on all my posts on this board. You will find some that show a range of responses from me....

"BTW, Are you painfully aware of your own imperfections?"

I am aware of them, but they don't cause me pain. I am at peace with who I am. Thus, it is easy to live My Life As Me. I'm not sure if this makes the answer to your question "yes" or "no", but rest assured I am not losing sleep over it (ok...right now I am, it is 4am, but you get the point...lol)

That works for me to a lessor degree...certainly *I* am at my best, and thus best postion to help others, when I am true to myself.

Taken strictly as you define it however, it smacks just a tad...just a tiny bit...too much of a "boot strap" mindset for me. I think everyone could use a helping hand periodically, and having benefited from such largess, I try to show it when possible.

You might not have meant it that way though...

Really, "My Life As Me" simply means that I live without regret or guilt. All I can do is be me. Sometimes "me" is a great guy, as measured by others. Sometimes me is an asshole, as I've demonstrated on this very board. Sometimes me in self indulgent...something I think most hobbyist are. That is the thing that concerns me the most about "me"...I'm working on that.

But it is always ME...

well Misty I choose my name based on a couple of different
reasons, I choose Trooper because I used to be a para trooper
in the army, and I still do jump from time to time,
second is that I have been thru alot of teribble experiences
with life, some of my own choosing and some where things
just happened! and so I consider myself to just be living
in the here and now and just trooping on forward, and
last is that I am an individual but yet one of many in the
haman race and so without taking away from anyone else I am
me the trooper who is another one of the troops! no better but
no worse than anyone else! on any given day!

Hi and I respect your choice of a handle! You are being true
to yourself, there are many people out there who are living
life and do not have a self awareness of who they are or why
they do as they do, I for one am another self-actualized
person who is living life for Me! as this is the way that
it was meant to be, I can only live for me and not someone
else, I can only control me most of the time and it is up
to me to know who I am and what my faults and credits are!
hence I can only be for me!
