I intentionally seek out trimmed kittys for playtime. My thinking is less chance of exchanging pubic lice, Aka "crabs". Am I correct in assuming that this is the reason why there are so many trimmed cats? I trim as much as possible, but only to a point. Can"t tip off the SO to any significant changes in behavior. I encountered a natural the other day for the first time hobbying and was put off by it. Any thoughts out there?

I am not sure about crabs and pubic lice but it has always been my understanding that shaving and trimming does not protect against that. I Personally love a good thick natural bush. It has always been a turn on for me. -joel

I don't trim my "cat" because of any lice problems.... I've never had them.  I trim it because I am part Chinese/Hawaiian and have the tendency to thick hair just about everywhere on my body and I have not had pubic hair in seven years due to the fact that I think it's nasty!!!  I am a true bisexual female and for another girl that I'm doing a little DATY on to have a "bush" growing down there is disgusting!!!!!

Just my 2 cents.

I think shaving is just an age thing.  Younger people are more into shaved and groomed and older people are more into unshaved natural.   I have always trimmed and shaved since I was 18.  A lot of older people don't shave or even trim and they seem to prefer that.  Personally, I just don’t like getting anything caught in my throat.  Besides, it is much harder to keep clean; Bacteria develop very rapidly in a hairy region not to mention, it is prettier and softer with just a little landing strip!  I never though about the lice thing but it makes since that they would be way less attracted and can't hide without hair but then the hair on your head would still be susceptible right?

The lice that would live in a bush would also got to the hairy legs on men and some still stay on the skin, My wife is a cosmetologist and they tauht her that in school. shaving doesnt stop body lice.

I'm switching to waxing (I've been a shaver) and there needs to be something for the wax to hang onto in order for that procedure to work!

First of all, why would you be choosing a Provider that would have lice and still be seeing clients...???  I believe the higher the quality Provider you choose, the less risk you have of catching ANYTHING, including lice or crabs..unless someone is a "Dim Bulb" they would avoid the seedier elements,(IV Drug users, crack whores, Street Hustlers, High Volume SP's etc.) that might present that kind of exposure. As far as the age thing goes, I'm over 50, and I've been shaved for 30 years...So I don't believe age is a factor here..It is merely a preference. I think it's cleaner, more accessible(sp) and more visible....But that's just my opinion.  Hugs, Robyn

I am watching a show on A&E about ancient Egypt.  The ancient egyptian shaved their heads to protect against lice and wore wigs to protect their heads against the sun.  So I suppose it does protect against lice.  But not body lice, aka scabies which lives under the skin as opposed to pubic and head lice which lives in the hair.

Hi Silky"

Its very easy to pick up pubic lice I understand.  Though I have never had it, I am sure it could be passed around easily since those little critters jump.  A friend once told me she picked up pubic lice in a movie theater from the seat.  She wasn't wearing panties.

I have my pubic hair waxed into a Brazilian (all off except a landing strip at the front) because I hate to be hairy.  Also I don't like anything getting between a guy's tongue and where I like it to be!!

I know I much prefer to go down on a woman who is waxed/shaved and I expect most guys prefer to have have hair between their teeth too :)

Hi,
Very interesting posts.  I personally enjoy a very natural bush down there.  I find it a big turn on. I saw a provider in Vegas who was mostly shaved and I found it a bit of a turn off. I asked her why she shaved and she said that she felt cleaner. One of the few providers I did see in my area I selected because she was natural down there. I wouldn't stay away from someone who was shaved or partially shaved if everything else was ok.
Just my opinion.

For those bold (brave?) enough, laser removal works "down there" as well.  The exception is for those with naturally very light (blonde) hair.  I love not having to wax or shave!

I love my "pussima" shaved to a smooth baldness. The men I see, love it, and they often run their fingers over it, loving the smooth feel of it.

I agree with those providers, in regards to the client being of the same. There is nothing more disgusting than having hair in your mouth..ugghhhh..

Mel ;)

I think you have no basis for the bacteria issue.  In comparison to your mouth and vagina the flora of the skin in areas with hair is nothing.

I think some folks just like the look, the feel and...I suspect for some guys, there is a little of the little girl thing going on there too.  In general our society does not favor hairy women.

My ATF has gotten me to shave my balls BTW.  Feels rather nice I might add...even when I'm by myself.

I like everything smoothe and clean.  Not clean as opposed to dirty, just cleanly shaven.  I love the visual, love the tactile, love the taste without throat tickles.

The only basis I have is my nose....I am hyper-sensitive to odors and hair tends to hold odor, and most of the ladies I know, that continually get yeast infections, are all natural. I myself have NEVER had one...As for the lice, I know people can catch them easily, my point was, a clean person: #1. would not have sex, knowing they had them, and once you know you have them, why wouldn't you get rid of them...The only two reasons I can think of would be Stupidity and lack of funds....Both I would stay away from.  Peace, Robyn

Robyn, what you say is true up to a point, but anyone can get crabs, herpes, genital warts, HIV, syphilis, etc. (and that's WITH a condom), not just the "seedier" girls and their clientele.  I'm also not sure I'd include high volume girls in that category either.  Maybe they're high volume (a subjective term at best) because they're good at what they do.  Does that make them "seedy" or less inclined to good hygiene?

The one point I think you and others may have overlooked is that a client who pays top dollar for the one-client-per-day-$$$$$-per hour girls is also frequently the same guy who picks up a street-walking crack addict for a $20 BBBJTC in the car.  Does anyone remember Hugh Grant, or for that matter, the 1970's book, "The Happy Hooker"?

Or, how about the TER reviewer who sees everyone's favorite GFE and ATF girls, AND who sees the TS "girls" as well?

STD's do not discriminate.

Well it's nice you haven't ever had a yeast infection, but I am sure it has nothing to do with hair.

Yeast is a fungus.  The offending organism is Candida Albicans.  It lives in dark warm and humid environments that tend to pH of slight acidity.  Hense the common problem with vaginitis.  It is also a problem for another place of similar character, the mouth.  Though in the mouth the natural flow of things tend to keep it in check with the most common exception being in mouths with dentures.  Obese older people also have a tendency to develope candidal infections in places where skin folds occur such as under breasts and tummy folds etc. There the conditions are right and age is an problem for hygiene.

Hair has little to do with it yeast.  Mites and other microorganisms do live at the base of the folicle and in the oil that accompanies each.

Clean is clean and hair baring surfaces of the body can successfully be cleaned.
