I've looked around and don't see this anywhere; so here is my foolish question of the day:
Is it considered bad taste to ask the provider questions when she calls back to see if there is some compatibility (other than the obvious)?

I don't think so. It is ones money and we have the right to know what to expect from her w/o out disrespecting her to avoid a misunderstanding. Communication is essential for both parties so they both feel comfortable with one another.

As part of my research for meeting a provider and once I feel we are both comfortable and open, I provide my requirements and if she is comfortable with them w/o feeling pressured or any other thing the meeting is set.

So, you don't set anything up after just one call?

I never have done such thing but that is my own way of doing things so don't take it as a standard and a given. Everyone has their style and way of conducting and doing business. You will eventually develop your own if you haven't already.

I correspond with them very often besides reading their reviews, asking via back channel and other resources before even calling them and eventually meeting anyone with not exception, this way I avoid bad/poor meetings which I have gotten but at a minimal.

So if you are doing the small talk deal no problem. If she cuts you off short and rude, you know she ain't for you. If she draws you in and makes you feel comfortable, she's the one.

But asking explicit or patently stupid questions gives her the right to blow you off. So develop rapport the same way you would any woman.

...Now I just get the info (Screening) and make quick polite small talk. Once the info is verified I am A LOT MORE friendly and talkative. If I was judged by the initial contact I'd be sunk! :0)~

When the first call is made I dont know who you are (LE trying to catch me off my guard?) so I have to be careful of what I say. Once you are verified I am more than happy to talk (especially via email) and get to know you.
