nothing new in sports -- the phila. flyers sent at least 3 of philly's finest escorts to Derek Sanderson's room (the hot young center for the boston bruins - known to be a late night skirt chaser) the night before a playoff game back in the early 70's.  

apparently they kept him "up" all night.

sanderson had a huge game, at least a hat trick.
