TER General Board

refering to the terms in that way was meant to be somewhat tongue in cheek

If I takes sides in a board fight between two providers, am I a white knight for supporting provider A or a misogynistic a-hole for chastising provider B?

Or just an idiot for even getting involved?

modified to add smiley face and indicate the above is all hypothetical

Why would you want to get involved?

I think it would be best for the ladies to work it out themselves.

I try to stay out of the drama and don't try to add fuel to the fire!

Just my 2 cents,
Kelly

maybe lay down a wager, but never take sides. All you'll get is scratched up :-)

Not knowing the circumstances, my best advice is to stay out of it publicly. If you want to support A or B, do so privately through their PM. We had a snit come up on the Chicago board recently and I think some sides were taken. In the end, I think both providers may have lost some credibility but it depends on your frame of reference. As for white knight or misogynistic a-hole, I think you might be over-generalizing how these are traditionally used. In one case, it means you have a rescue complex, in the other, some might say you had issues with your mother, i.e., and Oedipus complex. Guess what? You get to choose.

it was more a slam on those who toss the terms around --- for some a wk is anyone who ever protects a provider's rep, and others label someone as misogynist for ever attacking a provider's rep, so what happens when you protect one provider by attacking another?

BTW, the above was all hypothetical, inspired by some drama on the regional board but I just watched, and then thought of this to sort of amuse myself.

mmm..you have too much free time. I do too though, mostly due to insomnia so I understand.

Bluntly you should only be involved when there is an envelope and a provider with something easy to take off, and willing to do so.

That is all.
