I am confident that this question has been asked many times before.  

I have not been active on the site is more than 10 years. I did have a few references back in the dark ages which have long ago expired. I travel a great deal to London, LA, and LV. How can I gain a lady's trust when I have no references? I fully realize how important security and trust are to the providers. As an older gentleman, I am interested more in dinner dates over short visits.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Find out what they want for screening.  Newbies enter the field all the time.  They handle it.

put the dinner first.  Some girls are more likely to take a guy with no references if you are meeting in a public place for dinner first before going to your hotel room.  Trying to book a session at an incall is going to be more difficult without refs.  Putting Dinner first gives her a chance to meet you socially and gauge what kind of a guy you are before going BCD.   I've only done it a handful of times in cities I was traveling to, but it has worked for me.  

As long as you’re not looking for a short-notice meeting. Let her know the situation and be prepared to meet her requirements for verification. Some booking forms will allow you to enter “N/A” for references, if so follow up with an email and explain.  
Then again, some ladies are going to require references no matter what. Plenty who can and will work with you though.

newbie friendly. Many of the gents I have had the pleasure of spending time with do not have references or very old references.If you are willing to provide screening info I am sure you wouldn't have an issue.  
Unless you are reaching out to a provider who screens solely on references only.
I would suggest reaching out to the ladies you are interested in and reviewing their websites for screening requirements.

If your references are old, it may be best to see a few ladies that are will to work with you. Maybe not the ones at the top of your list, but it can be a worthwhile investment. Plenty of great ladies are willing to meet without references if you can provide the information they need to be comfortable. My experience after a several years-long break was to email ladies and ask how we could work some out since I did not have recent references. Not everyone was willing, but enough wonderful ladies were able to accommodate.
