I went to make an appointment with a provider I was really dying to see.  When I sent her some references she replied to me stating that she would not even think of seeing due to my poor taste.
Has that ever happened to any of you?

You could have replied “You exactly suit my taste!”

I tend to like petite/slender providers and have said so in reviews.   I had one provider that I wanted to see who more "full bodied". I communicated with her through TER. She read the reviews I had written and said she did not want to see me bc she thought I would write a bad review because of her figure.  But, I replied, I see your pics and I do want to see you.   All to no avail.  Probably worked out for the best.

just happened to give her two references that she has some kind of beef with and can't call them for a reference.  So because she burned her bridges, you're the one that suffers.  Providers that have bad blood with a number of other providers usually have some issues with mongers as well.  If she's hard to get along with, this may have been a blessing in disguise.  I say move on and spend the money you saved on someone else.  

As others have noted she could be enemies with one of those ladies or one of those ladies could have a reputation for doing BBFS.  Or more likely those ladies could have much lower TER ratings (maybe she is a TER 9 and these ladies are 5's or 6's) or terrible reviews.  Basically, she infers that if you are willing to see fugly, nasty ladies that you must be fugly, nasty, and have no standards.  Closely related maybe these are $1-300/hr ladies and she is a $600+/hr lady so she looks at these ladies as not being on the same level as her and you as barely being able to afford her.  Could also be that they provided a questionable response to her reference inquiry.  Porn stars for example want references from other Porn Stars who are at the same level and have similar donations.  That makes them feel comfortable.

It happened to me once, but kind of in reverse order.  It was mostly my doing as I had only posted reviews of providers generally considered 8 and up in the looks department.  Said provider did not initially agree to meet because she thought I only saw providers that were on the younger, hotter side.  Not that she wasn't, but she advertised as "mature".  She responded to my request for a visit (along with additional references sent of mature providers I've seen) and I assured her I liked women of all shapes, sizes and ages and If I reached out to her then there must be something about her that intrigued me.  She agreed and we had a nice time, since that initial visit I have seen her an additional three or four times.  

She said the girls I've seen were below her standard, and also that I had seen too many girls.  Funny thing is she had just been reviewed by a guy that had written 50 reviews over the last two years, and 6 of them were in the last month.  I'm tempted to include a link here.  She does post on TER, maybe she will speak up?!?

Personally I don't use providers as references. Back in the day there was a guy Beefeater500 I think and I know providers and mongers both who thought the amount of providers he saw was disgusting. I mean isn't this what we all are all about? I don't mind using personal references or personal information. I don't really care who knows I monger.

Asking  a Provider for references is like asking a competitor for references......even if in a totally different market....regardless of physical distance it is still competition for the same $300 !   Duh !!!

Just like you, I don't mind who knows I monger either, but I don't supply references or jump through any other similar hoops simply because I am too lazy. Any provider I book with is more than free to look up any of my P 411 okays and contact them as a reference, likewise they are free to research my phone number (which is a REAL one) or do anything else they need to do to feel comfortable, but if they expect me to do their work for them. Sorry there are too many providers who don't make my life difficult that I would rather see.

 
Back to BE, yes I really was amazed how many people who live in glass houses just love to throw stones. He didn't really see that many providers compared to a lot of guys I know, he just wrote reviews on pretty much ALL of them. I have a friend who saw 56 different hookers in a single week, It probably would have taken him another full week to write a review on every one of them, as if he could even remember all of them a week later. He's just as big a drunk as me, only about a dozen years younger. lol
