I am just returning to the US after several years in Europe.  I've noticed that in order to make an appointment with most of the quality girls, one needs good references.  All the girls I saw before have either retired or probably don't remember me.  That leads me to the question:  How do I see a good escort without references?

That is a very tricky because even if you have a provider who is
willing to give a reference, they might get jealous that you are
going to someone else. I suggest that you use RS2000 (www.roomservice2000.com.
If they don't accept that take your business somewhere else. There
are alot of quality providers out there that don't require hurdles
like this. Might be an indication that they are to busy for new
customers or that they have so much business from an existing
customer base that they don't need your business.

Do your research on the reviews and you will find there are ones who
don't require references. If they require references sometimes they
are flexiable in using RS2000.

Here is a good example of a reasonable provider for a new client
situation.

No one has ever asked me for a reference.  Had one that insisted on my real name and a phone number to call me at first.  Nothing since that.

Most of the providers in my area will accept a work reference instead of a provider reference.  Basically you give her your work #, she calls and asks "May I speak to Mick?", to prove you work where you say you do.

That'll at least get you your first reference you can use for other providers later.

See a girl or two at a reputable agency.  Then get a reference from the agency.

Also, search this forum for messages concerning "Roomservice 2000" -- they provide referrals, but I don't know how they work.

Many, but not necessarily ALL indies will go the route of asking for your real name and a real telphone number to verify you are truly who you are and that you are not LE. They are not into your life story when they call the office. Matter of fact, if you see the provider enough times, that info you provided ends up disappearing into vapors. Memory lapse for most mortals. Some guys however really get hung up on this b/c this hobby is supposed to be a . . . discret. I'm sure you have to visit an agency to get a reference. It may end up being a bit expensive if you get burned going the agency route. Nothing is easy in this hobby.

Many providers will make an exception if you explain your circumstances and can find other means to assure that you aren't LE or Jack the Ripper. And there are lots of easy ways to do this.

Seeing an agency girl is a good way to get a reference (but make sure it is a reputable agency... some I wouldn't ever accept a reference from).  Or as they mention above roomservice2000 is a good place to get verified but I believe you need provider references for that as well.  I don't quite agree that ALL the 'better' providers need these air-tight provider references, in fact I know that there definitely quite a few very sweet and fun providers who will meet with you, sans reference (or even with outdated ones)

I am hard up to recommend RS2000 as posted here.  It means that you are part of a database, and LE has in the past gotten to information on web enterprises like this.  There are numerous posts here, including one just below, regarding the pros and cons of a service like that.  Caveat Emptor!

I do have a few providers I have asked to be references, and I will tell you that they all know that if we wanted to be monogamous we may get married or get a S/O, so jealousy, as one poster put it, should not be a problem.  

Your best bet is to first see a provider that has a less stringent verification process, then ask her if you may use her name as a reference in the future.  If you're a gentleman, then this should be no problem for her, and your problem is solved.  They understand this "hobby" as well as we do.  After you get one provider to act as a reference, ask others as well, so that you may have a few to rely on if one is ill, or on vacation, etc.  I currently, for example, have 5 providers I use as references.  They are each in different cities, so that I can use them as needed for different geographic areas (I travel a good deal).
