Had a really faretched theory, here goes :  womens' breats cover their ribcage, and a strip of uncut ribs is called a "rack," so...

I'm too lazy to research this myself, but does anyone have any idea how a woman's breats got to be nickmaned "a rack"?

I have two possible expalanations, wonder what other misinformation is around on this not-quite-pressing topic.
