I often wonder about discounts and freebies among providers and clients.  It's none of my or anyone's business who does or does not give them and who does or does not receive them. Also, this isn't about providers with explicit rules on discounts: Board Member Discounts, Time Limited Discounts or Purchase XX Appointments Receive an XX Discount, etc.

Because the type of services provided are intimate the lines will always be somewhat blurred unlike the relationship you have with your lawyer or financial advisor.  However, once you cross a certain line (free or discounted meetings) there is no going back.  It seems that it would, 99.9% of the time, invite all kinds of problems later on.

What's the general consensus, opinions, experiences?

I was offerd a discount on future meetings by my ATF after our last visit. I was surprised. She's upscale and I enjoyed thinking I was getting above average service for an above average donation. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. This is one crazy hobby...

Same with my lawyer, doctor, dentist and CPA.

My favorite lunch counter gives out a ticket where if they punch it five times I get a free sandwich.

Point made?

...I could sit here for the next hour listing the freebies, discounts and above the call of duty service that I have had over the last twenty years.

My most memorable was a lady called Abigail. I booked her for an hour and she stayed 48. She even bought me a slapup Chinese in Bayswater for lunch on the Sunday.

As KateBishop says this business is not quite like others. When the drinks are flowing and party mood is in, sometimes the clock is forgotten. I think it can depend on the type of bookings that you do. Only once can I remember a parlour booking that went over double the time that I had paid for. I can think of dozens of escort bookings where that has happened. Along with the ones that lasted less than standard, of course :-(

I would not agree that there is no going back. One time a lady gave me a lot extra in terms of service and time so I booked her again a week later, but on the second visit she just stayed the contracted hour and left on the dot. What I had got on the earlier visit was pretty much forgotten.

Freebies oil the wheels of industry and all that. But there is something wrong about taking a freebie on the explicit understanding that you will review positively in return. That sux. I would also say that sadly they are the exception rather than the rule. But any regular and long term hobbyist must be able to list a "gift".

I usually go by the ladies suggested donation guideline.  That said, I provide what I expect the minimum to be.  If accepted we go from there.  Recently, I set up a 2 hour apt.  When I looked at the logistics of what the lady and I decided would be fun, I made the decision that the 2 hr. contract was no where near enough... I went to the next higher donation level... for a wide variety of reasons.  We did have a great time, and she was please that I upped the level without her having to ask.

On the other hand, at the end of some sessions, I have had the lady ask what I was doing and would I like to join her for dinner or a drink OTC.  That is always nice.  I never know if it is because they wish a free meal or if it is my charming personality..... so I always assume that it is my charming personality, wit and killer good looks... plus tooling around town with a big green guy tends to take the stares away from the lady!

But I have to say that at the 1 hr. apt level, that is 1 hr. and I watch the clock.  Why? because at the 1 hr level it is a matter of time.  At more than 1 hr. I assume that other factors come into play - dinner, drinks, party, some activity other than BCD and the lady in some way benefits other than the $$ paid.  (and no, I am not saying that there is a charge for being with me, it is just that when I book a "chunk of time" the lady has the benefit of having no down time between apts. no "no shows" and other annoyances that are common).  Does she count that into her multihour rate? I would hope so but even so, there is an advantage as well as going to dinner.  If going to dinner, I will always let the lady select the restaurant or type of food.  The worse thing to me would be to take someone where they did not wish to go.... I don't like it, and I would think that most ladies would not like it.

so, while I do not look for nor seek discounts, it does seem that being a nice guy has some rewards - sometimes.  Oh, and by the way, my lawyer has nice NFL tickets that I get from time to time.....  go figure.... maybe that nice thing works in civie life as well.

Now, my doctor is another story entirely - to say nothing of my dentist... who won't even return my calls.... hummm!

In summary, most of the ladies I have met in this business - know it is 1) a business and 2) it requires a personal touch....  That personal touch includes recognizing the relationship - that it is limited with bounds.  Do the ladies I have been with have a good time?  I would like to think that they do.

I once booked a very inexpensive 1 hour with a lady.....   the next 6 hours were the most interesting "Date" I have ever had with anyone (civie, escort or wife).  I cannot express how that lady made me feel....   but it was exceptional - she had never seen me before, but seemed to instinctively know that I was in need.  and yea, sometimes things are there and sometimes they are not....   it is just how the lady feels at the time... or what she wishes to do - especially if she is an independant.... that is why they are independant...

My experience has been that this sort of things has been kind of to each his or her own.

I'll never ask for discounts or freebies, though sometimes I wish they would offer without my asking simply because I've seen them so many times and feel that I've developed a rapport with them. I've had one provider that once said to me, "Don't worry about it if you can't afford it. Just buy me dinner afterwards." I do think that she meant it and it was just for that one time because it was a special occasion. I've also had a regular who would let me stay as long as I want to for the same amount of money I have been paying her for the hour. Overall I'm so well treated by them that I'm so spoiled that I wouldn't think of going to see anyone else. It's nice to be treated special is what I'm saying. The discounts I'm getting now are invisible and not quantified. In return, once in a while I'd surprise them by bringing them extra "gifts" that would blow them away which makes them special because they're unexpected.

I know what you mean when you say sometimes the lines are somewhat blurred.

A couple of ladies have offered discounts for reviews- and many have offered major discounts on future sessions...  I have accepted some and not others....

Best was a lady who became a good party buddy for a while...  I really enjoyed hanging and chatting almost more than the action...

Even from my regular whom I see weekly, I never got a discount; but we spend extra times together -- is that considered a freebie?

I don't think extending a date really counts here.   There are all types of scenarios that might make for an unintended longer date.  Sometimes you get to talking and the time flies. Weather issues come up.  Chemistry can play a part.  You must both have the extra time, unexpectedly, right then and there.  You can't expect to book an hour and expect three in the future based upon any of these scenarios.  If your lawyer happens to have an extra 20 minutes at the end of your consultation and you talk about golf, most likely he won't charge you for that time but you can't expect to chit-chat after every meeting.

Gifts are something else.  I think we can all agree that your lawyer is not going to decrease your hourly rate for being a good client, but should send you a nice gift over the holidays or once your case is settled.  These material gifts often cost them nothing, they are tax deductible or they came from your fee for the marketing budget just as overhead and payroll does.

If a provider you've never seen advertised on her site that you could receive a $50 gift with a full-priced booking or a $50 discount, which would you choose?  If you have an ATF and she presents you with a $50 gift for your birthday or the holidays for being a great client and friend, would you rather have been offered a $50 discount?

It's not about gossiping but about blurry lines, business and opposing opinions.

The first three times I saw my previous ATF I paid full rate.  During the 3rd  date she offered me a great discount. She also told me that when I came to visit that I could stay as long as I liked for the price of a one hour date. "Hangout/Free Time" and "Play/Charge Time" was clearly defined.  On the 4th date I paid the discounted price and even spent the night, free of charge but also no free "Playtime" which I was happy with.  When I called to see her again she accused me of being a "cheap f**k and to never call her again.  Go figure.

Moral of the story, If you want to continue seeing a provider, don't accept or discuss discounts!

...for some reason I always felt that it would return to bite me in the ass so I never accepted.

I suppose there is no reason that somebody cannot still be objective but did you feel pressure to be nice regardless since they had paid?

Same here. I have had some providers ask me to post a new review even though I wrote a previous review. They would only give me a discount if I had a current review in the past 6 months. My policy is that I only write 1 review per provider. I don't use it get a discount or become a member of another website vip board.

I see the discounts on verification/reference check webites.. If they are available I confirm them with the provider before I see her. Of course I don't menition the price. Reason is that I would have never known about the provider if I had not been a member of the verification service website.

Providers offer these discounts because it saves them hassle and time of verification and reference checks. I have seen discounts up to 20% off. That will allow me to spend extra on a provider if I am seeing her on a regular basis.

Actually- the session in one case was beyond my descripive capability, so I might have graded down to keep it real.

Otherwise, I really try to keep the audience's needs in mind- the golden rule of reviews...

A number of times, a provider has stayed somewhat longer with me than the alloted time, but I would just call this "having a great time", not a freebie.

I usually try to make it up to them in one way or another, if they'll let me.

doctor, mechanic, plumber etc...were to give me a freebie, then I would be super psyched! Same with a provider. I would never turn down a freebie or a discount for any reason, except deception. (i.e. a false review, etc...)

My accountant gives me referral fees. I am not sure how likely that I would be handing out business cards for my atf?

My mechanic fixes things for free, but it is usually because he has so hosed me in other areas, that he feels bad. I wish some of the ladies would do that for me too, but...

I will, would, etc always leave it up to the provider to offer. I feel that if I am getting a fair product for a fair price, If I can afford it, I will keep cumming back over and over.

I pay $95 an hour to my mechanic, but I can't fix the car myself.

I pay my atf $$$ an hour, but I can't... you get the point...

I wish. Once I identify myself I'm generally required to pay more, not less. One lady called it an "icky premium".

I've been given two discounts -- once a provider (a really wonderful one) stood me up, when I called her she was extremely apologetic.  She then offered me 2 hours for the price of 1 (she's fairly high price).  The 2 hours morphed into over 2 1/2, and was wonderful.  An agency I've used a number of times gave me a birthday discount of 50% off -- and said next year it would be even bigger :-).

The one freebie I had -- I visited a provider and had a hot time, but, as sometimes happens when I take vitamin V, I couldn't cum (believe me we both tried really hard).  After a little more than an hour we had to end since she was expecting another client.  She told me to come back the next night and she would give me a freebie.  She did -- it was almost two hours, and my problem of the previous night disappeared.  She then said that she would give me a big discount anytime I wanted to see her again.  Alas, I never did -- the next time I was in town, she couldn't be found.

I have been offered discounts and freebies by a favorite when she had to cancel on me (with plenty of advance notice, btw) or when she was so booked on a trip that she didn't have time to see me. I never took her up on her offers, and I told her to stop offering. The things that I treasure are the little gifts she gives me occasionally. The gifts are always personal, and demonstrate her insight into my interests and my personality.
