If you look at the existing boards, you see many regions with far less activity that have their own boards, such as Phoenix. I'm no Texan, but it is a huge state with an enormous amount of hobbying activity in Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.
Eros has separate pages for Dallas-Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Texas has even had its own boards altogether, although I hear that aspd has gone dark after the TBD prosecution.
Houston-San Antonio and Dallas-Austin are the two logical activity-based regions for two Texas boards. There must be 500 providers in Texas and thousands of hobbyists. Many can read and write, up to and exceeding the level in southern California. I am amazed at the amount of scholarly literature and legal writing that comes out of Texas universities, including Pulitzer-nominated histories.
To dump Texas with "Other" makes no sense. That places it with the Dakotas, Wyoming, and Montana. Duh.
took place in the SF board because of the strong local competition from SF Redbook. Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver boards have not been successful so far. There are needs for moderators in these boards. Currently GND is over work moderating so many boards.
There are 30 reviews of Houston ladies and 27 reviews of Dallas ladies from 10/20 to 11/2 compared to 186 reviews of SF ladies. Yes, members participating in the boards are not necessary prolific reviewers and vice versa.
It might be better to start this in baby steps. When there are more responses from members, separate discussion board will surely follow. Given the number of reviews in Other region and cities without discussion boards, an “All other area” board is sorely needed.
BTW, just for reference, here are the numbers of reviews in each region from 10/20 to 11/2 and 11/3 (There are overlaps of reviews due to the dual city nature of provider profile)
