Provider has 5 reviews, all 10/9, all just rave about her.  The reviews are all in the last two months.  I contacted her and she seems excited to meet me but wants a deposit.

Now, most of her reviewers have many other reviews with reportable providers, but all with very high ratings, tens and nines.  A couple have been white listed.  I contacted one by email and he said there was no ask of deposit.

Am I being paranoid??

said there was no deposit requested, why would you agree to pay one?  Just tell her you spoke to some of her reviewers and they had good things to say about her, but they told you there was no deposit required, and although you would like to see her, a deposit is a deal-breaker for you, especially in light of the fact that it appears she has not been requiring one in the past.

With that said, it might be possible that the ONE reviewer you contacted did not really see her and wrote a fake review.  Why not contact a few others to corroborate there was no deposit.  You should also ask if her profile is accurate.  Sometimes the first reviewer is a shill and the profile is more generous than what you will actually see and get. If others say they also paid a deposit, then you have a decision to make.  Personally, I will not pay a deposit to lady I have never met, only if I'm booking extended time with a lady I know, like an overnight or a weekend.

I know I’m a genuine provider & I just can’t risk having my time wasted being the Matriarch, and head of my household. I hear lots of bad experiences with some providers stealing deposits. I have never. You have to make your own judgment call & if you get taken advantage of call out the provider here on TER. Bad business. I have required a 50% deposit to book for almost 13 years now it works for me & my lifestyle. Do what you feel comfortable with it’s your life.

I've contacted all reviewers and only got one response.

I do agree I can roll the dice with a deposit and leave a bad review.  I'm just wondering if it's a scam the scanner will just ditch the ad and run another one under another name the same way.  I guess fool me once, right?

One other thing, she is very responsive.  Almost too much so in fact.  Part of what makes me suspicious.  I should really just ditch and go with someone else.

I would move on. My hobby time is valuable. Getting a so so provider wastes a few bucks but the time gone is irreplaceable .

But I would not send the girl in question one. She has no history of how she handles those deposits, and their return when necessary.

I have been doing this off and on for 27.5 years (Since I was 18.5 years old).  I never required a deposit. I just made it clear to the client that i don't care what the reason is to why he didn't show (If he doesn't show then he must loose my number and never call me).

Whatever your spider-sense tells you.  Seriously, all the advice we give here won't matter when it comes time to open your wallet.

All I can offer is this--here in LA I've seen some of the most beautiful and sexy young fuck-buddies in my life in the last 2 years.  There was a first time for each one of them and there were numerous duos and even a trio.  All these women had to set aside time, often travel, and in some cases meet a new girl for the first time just before a session.  Given that this is LA, the going rate has been a minimum of 700 and 800 is now common; there were a couple of 1,000 girls in there.  I've had an awesome ride with women who IRL wouldn't throw a glass of water on me if I was on fire.    Still, not one asked for a deposit.
Not. A. Single. One.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

If you give her a deposit and she flakes, all you can do is post a heads-up on your local board.

I believe a "ripoff" review can be posted, even though the client had not seen the provider, if the provider stole a deposit from the client.

Hard pass to anyone requires a deposit for me.  Don't be the guy begging for your deposit back or worse, just ghosted.  Also, deposits leave a paper trail of payment.  What we think is antonymous are just additional steps for someone that is looking.  Finally, the fake reviews could be "hers".  Just a thought.

Either way you choose, you're not wrong. Its your money, your body, your sexual encounter. You have every right to flip the coin and go for it, or flip the coin and pass it up.

I would never see a provider that requires a deposit.

I don't think being highly responsive is a definite flag but would seem to indicate both free time and an interest in getting something scheduled -- or just the deposit sent.

Vetting the other reviewers is absolutely a good idea. You want to be sure the review is a valid and trustworthy review, first, and also check to see if the review's preferences and "scoring" mesh with you. Not getting much of a response from most is not necessarily and indication of caution on their review (just a lack of helpfulness).

So should you send a deposit and roll the dice? Your call on that. But I would probably just ask her about the one guy that says no deposit was required and why you're getting asked for one. You're already on the fence so if that gets you tagged as a time waster with her you've not really lost anything. But you might also  get some information back that would let you address any concerns (yours or hers) that would lead to you making a deposit or her deciding to not require one from you.

A key part of the decision for me would be "can I give away the amount of the deposit?" If that would cause you to loose sleep don't. If you can chalk it up to a learning experience -- or like a bank as a bad loan you're expected to have to occur occasionally -- then it's about just how attracted to her (due to ads, pics and reviews) you are. No one bats 1000 so. . . .

A Provider has 2 choices. The first is to charge a deposit & The second is to tell you that it's a "First Come First Serve" type of service. Either way, you got to respect what the Provider says. There's a certain percentage that it is about the cash and the other percentage is satisfying the Hobbyists.

You're taking about paper trail from using Venmo?  If you have an extended date and withdraw several thousand cash from your bank account does that not raise flags?

Cash is not a problem.  What's the bank teller going to do?  I'm more concerned about the paper trail that a deposit leaves directly with an escort.  Those bread crumbs lead right back to me.  No Bueno; No deposits for me.

Bank teller?  Not sure.  But I've heard stories about people being accosted by LE when they leave the bank with a lot of cash.  I suppose I can just tell them I'm headed to Vegas...

Sounds unlikely, unless your already under surveillance.  More likely is the escort getting busted and they follow the deposit money trail right back to you.
