Craigslist in DC & Baltimore is considered a joke. A ton of scam artists, fake pictures, fake reviews, and providers posting fake reviews about each other claiming STDs, LE, etc. Is CL like this around the country or is this unique to our neck of the woods?
It's about the same in Chicago. Good times can be found, but you've really got to do your research.
The bickering and the bullshit get old pretty quickly. Some days I'll scan it for comic relief, but for the most part it's not worth it. It's too bad, I've found a few gems on CL.
It's funny how quickly the Internet degenerates when everyone is completely anonymous. I wonder exactly how many bad apples spoil it for the rest of us.
I have found about 5 providers in CL that were pretty good. Later on they put up eros ads or other ads. Yes it takes a while to get through the crap, but there are some good ones in there at good prices. This month I spent $1800 on 3 providers who had ads in CL. I was able to get GFE, greek, and other things not offered on the menu by some of the more well know providers in the area.
You again???(LOL) I know... I know. But let's get real. Half of the reviews on that site are people saying "Fuck You" to each other. The other half start out "Don't trust this bitch!". It's a joke! Many of the pics are fake and they have pricing that starts at 15 mins. Most TER reviews in DC that have the CL weblink get very low scores and often times horror stories attached to it (She dozed off, Her pimp was right outside, She upsold me, etc.). I don't have time to sift through all the crap to find the gold.
Like the CL Detective, I've had some success there (including one lady whose review should be posted this week), but you do have to keep in mind that the signal-to-noise ratio sucks. It does appear to be somewhat different in markets like Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, and Dallas has quite a few legitimate posts as well. There have actually been review boards that focus exclusively on CL ladies, although there's some degree of focus on "warning about ripoffs" instead of "wow, aren't all these babes wonderful".
If you don't have the time or the patience to wade through the crap ads, CL is not the place for you. However, if you enjoy seeing ladies who are semi-civilian (so to speak), it's the place to go.
