I haven't eaten a terrilyn yet.....bet it's yummy!!
I had to describe the urge , I'd say full bodied to die for , succulent , kinda of put together wisely, with a subtlety hint of exotic flavor , I'm sure I'd be completely satisfied and left with a taste on my lips second to none !

Let me know about the camel meat.
There is a halal butcher shop around the corner from where I work that features camel meat, and my curiosity is piqued.
I was on a volunteer program in the African Jungle and one night I woke up choking on ants that crawled into my mouth. Thank god they weren't the red fire ants! I swore I had one crawling in my lungs for a full day after that. This was years ago and I still have a gross physical reaction thinking about it.
I did try chocolate covered raisins in thailand once. Then after eating some I thought they were chocolate covered crisped rice. Turns out they were chocolate covered ants. This was even longer ago...
I have tried venison, quail, rabbit, goat duck, ostrich egg, and elk at various times.
I like venison, and sometimes duck, but I've been cutting more and more meat from my diet as of late, so no more game meats for me for a while.
Enjoy your camel!
Kiss me,
Kat
Tell us more ? See the hott girls are interesting . How long , when , ?
I did the safari at great adventure a few times ? A baboon wouldn't get off my damn car so I shot him with windshield washer fluid ! He died of laughter and pooped ! Taught him a lesson .
No really where did u go and any good stories ? Was there a Tarzan in your travels ?

No Tarzan, LOL.
Baboons stole my food a few times though... They are pretty nasty, and scary animals!
In honor of this thread I tried pigeon for the first time last night. It was ok, I like duck or more standard poultry better. Over here in England there are more choices for game meats than in the states.
Kiss me,
Kate
Hey Kate , hope your enjoying your trip .
Yes in Europe there are many more choices that here in the States . I love wild boar and many other types of fowl .
And I'd be your Tarzan anytime cause u surely would makes a beautiful Jane . Tell William and Harry I said hey . Be safe. And take lots of photos of the sites yo visit . xoxoxo

Raised on a horse ranch and we gelded a stallion. My dad cooked them up in a stew. Way too gamey and kinda disgusting. Had some other mystery meat specials in my worldly travels. Not sure what a lot of it was. It wasn't cow, but some small country vil's I visited did not seem to have much of a rat problem and there weren't many cats around either. Other than that, having gone through survival school, I've eaten a ton of bugs, rattlesnake, squirrel and wild rabbit. Venison of course- best in a stew as a home cooked meal. I've never eaten possum, but my dog has and it stunk pretty bad. Must be an acquired taste...
I'm eating a lot healthier now. Americans are so damn lucky we have what we have to eat. Just remember that there are more people starving in the world than are well fed, next time you throw half that Big Mac away.
Try some fat juicy grubs, grasshoppers, worms, tree bark, dandelions and other miscellaneous wilderness foods. Anyone with survival training has indulged in the "delicacies" that Mother Earth has to offer.
I thought I was going to open the link and it was just going to say "toe"
Oh well..
Not a complete list, but off the top of my head:
Ostrich
Goose
Duck
Pheasant
Quail
Dove
Venison
Elk
Moose
Buffalo
Donkey
Goat
Alligator
Bull balls
Eel
Sea urchin
Never ate cat but love to eat pussy
Remember that show "Fear Factor" and the stuff they made the contestants eat" with the exception of the live insects, I think you can buy everything else at your local asian market. I know I have paid good money to eat some of the very same stuff that was grossing out millions of Americans every week. lol
The only thing on your list I don't like is "Uni" or as you put it "Sea Urchin", I love Sushi, and love Sashimi even more, but Uni tastes like dirt IMO, I don't care how much sake you wash it down with. lol
I won't even attempt to list the stuff I like, the list would be much too long to even try to fit in on a single post.
I was just responding to the OP. His list wasn't weird either. Just stuff other than your standard beef, pork, and chicken. So my list was basically the non "standard" stuff. The only thing in my list that I feel was weird, was the sea urchin. (and I said "sea urchin" because I figured most here wouldn't know what "uni" or "wana" (Hawaiian name) is.)
Ovviously there is a huge Asian community here in Hawaii so there is a lot of interesting food available here. But I am not very adventurous when it comes to eating something that wasn't muscle on some mammal.
Weird to me is stuff like balut, grubs, worms, bugs, pig uterus, etc. I would never make it through Fear Factor. I used to watch that show and always thought the first and third stunts would be really fun, but I'd never make it through the middle one. lol
But weird is all relative. Most "mainland" folks think we're weird in Hawaii because we love spam so much!

but considering how many Korean ladies i have date, i have learned to at least tolerate it. Truth be told, with enough spices, it can be tolerable. I don't think I could eat good old fashioned "Spam and eggs" unless I had lost a bet though.
Then you'd just love Spam sushi. It's big in Hawaii. I'm surprised ps didn't mention it.
For those who have been to the Philippines. Way, way, way too drunk. Olongapo City and my friends told me about it the next day. Or at least I think it was the next day. Too fuzzy...
